The Federal Government through the
Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai
Mohammed on Sunday disclosed that
anti-graft agencies have gotten
information about how looters were
burying stolen funds in forests and
burial grounds.
Mohammed said the whistleblower
policy had led to the recovery of stolen
funds in different currencies.
In a statement signed by his Special
Adviser, Mr Segun Adeyemi, the
minister assures Nigerians that the
recovered loots were save with the
government.
“Since we launched the whistle blower
policy, we have received
immeasurable support from Nigerians.
“Yes, there is monetary reward for any
information that leads to recovery of
looted funds, but from what we have
seen, most of the Nigerians who have
come forward with useful leads were
driven by patriotism rather than
reward.
”Nigerians, fired by a fervid resolve to
help banish corruption from their
country, have daily inundated the
offices of the appropriate government
agencies with valuable information.
“We have been told how looters have
resorted to burying stolen funds in
their backyards, in deep forests and
even in burial grounds.
”Thanks to whistle-blowers, it is now
clear that a rapacious few have
pillaged the nation’s wealth through a
vicious orgy of corrupt practices,” he
said.
The minister, however, noted that
more funds were in the possession of
looters than were available to
government at all levels.
He added that the government will not
abolish the whistleblower policy for
any reason.
He also said the government will soon
give account of all loots recovered.

Is money really that much in this country that some will have to bury it

Yet someone is struggling to eat in a particular slum.

Life is truly unfair.

LOOT OR NO LOOT LET ALL IT MAY CONCERN BRING THE TRUE MONEY AND INVEST IN AGRIBUSINESS!
RICH NIGERIANS STILL EXIST WITHOUT LOOTED FUNDS YET KEPT THEIR FUNDS AWAY FROM AGRIBUSINESS BECAUSE THEY NEED TO UNDERSTAND...

When Land, Labor, Water, and the periodics of Weather is employed to create a Product / Farm Produce, and the Produce is processed for the Market; then an Agribusiness Value-Chain is said to be created by each block of activity that arrived at the market. Consider the following blocks:
a.) Land, Labor, Water, Weather
b.) Produce
c.) Process
d.) Market
Each block however is supposed to be interrelated and interdependent for the actual Value of the Chain to be harnessed.
But in Nigeria, the Value-Chain is rightly interrelated but obscurely interdependent. Survival of the fittest had eroded interdependence; not even dependence on government could be found. Rather than investing in the Value-Chain enabling environment, government had been carried away by the urgency of strengthening the Value-Chain system or network that they had ended up stifling the system depriving it of survival. Strengthening the Value-Chain itself is the duty of the citizens not government.
In conclusion, the errors of government in advanced economies are the opportunities of the business class in providing/inventing the enabling environment deprived us by government.
Hence the call on every well meaning Nigerian to refocus on re-strategising agricultural investments.
Please join the Agribusiness Value Chain by calling: 08033029834, SMS: 08079929325, Whatsapp: 07055115343. Thanks
