Was not Berisha.... berisha was 2013. The name you are looking for is "Haris Seferovic"

How do I know? I will never forget the name of the lad who spoilt my night in that final at Abuja. A game we missed chances upon chances.... sad

Harris in jersey no 9 (I think?) just popped out of nowhere to convert with a header.

it was sad.... and I didn't forget his name ever since. He is now at Frankfurt shaa... in the bundesliga.

Blow for Liverpool as Nigerian star admits to dreaming of Arsenal move

Liverpool target, Henry Onyekuru has admitted that he dreams of signing for the Gunners despite interest from other clubs.

The Nigerian starlet has caught the attention of multiple clubs following his impressive season for Belgian team, Eupen. In 33 appearances, Onyekuru has scored 17 times while registering seven assists in the Jupiler League.

Southampton, Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund have shown interest in the youngster but he has revealed that the north London side is the club he would like to join, as reported by football.london .

“I hope to find myself one day in a top club in Europe and to play for my national team.”
“The shirt I dream of wearing is Arsenal’s because I’ve always had Thierry Henry as a role model since I was little.”

Iheanacho on Hoffenheim radar

BUNDESLIGA side Hoffenheim is in hotpursuitofSuperEagles and Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

Julian Nagelsmann. Gabriel Jesus andSergio The young Nigerian, sparingly used by coach Pep Guardiola, is currently courting intresrests from European clubs and may likely leave The Etihad when the transfer window opens in the Summer.

Iheancho is expected to slip down the pecking order this summer as City look to add another striker with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Kylian Mbappe and Pierre Emerick Aubamey- ang on their list.

However, City are reluctant to agree a permanent sale for Iheanacho but he is eager to play more games so they will consider a possible loan deal. Hoffenheim are pushing for Champions League qualification in the Bundesliga and have impressed under 29-year-old coach julian Nagelsmann. Gabriel Jesus and Sergio

Aguero are ahead of the Nigerian in terms of first choice selections Hoffenheim won’t be his only suitors with plenty of interest in England and abroad. Bayer Leverkusen are also keen. Iheanacho has scored seven goals in 25 appearances this season.

Meanwhile, Eagles latest invitee Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee has extended his deal with German side Hannover 96 till the summer of 2021 despite reported interest from Bundesliga seasoned cam- paigners Schalke 04.

Hannover 96 are close to securing promotion to the Bundesliga with their 1-0 win over rivals Eintracht Braunschweig taking them to the top of the Bundesliga 2 table ahead of Stuttgart, who have played one game less as the race for promotion to the Bundes- liga hots up.

Austria Vienna Striker Kayode Scores Career-High 18th Goal Of The Season

Olanrewaju Kayode helped Austria Vienna return to winning ways after finding the net in their 3-0 rout of Mattersburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon.

Before the contest at Pappelstadion, the capital team had lost their lost three games in all completions and managed only two goals.

After a misplaced pass from Mattersburg defender Thorsten Mahrer, Kayode was fed by attacking midfielder Felipe Pires and the Nigerian slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.

Kayode's 21st minute goal took his tally for the season to 18 goals from 43 matches in all competitions, including 11 in the league.

The ex-Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star is Nigeria's leading scorer in Europe's top divisions this season.

German clubs interested in Man City's Iheanacho

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho looks set to head for Germany with two clubs in the Bundesliga Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen eager to have him on their sides. The 20 year old Manchester city forward has gradually slipped from the pecking order even as the premiership side remain reluctant to consider him for outright sale.
Man City under Coach Pep Guardiola are hoping to pursue possible signing of Alexis Sanchez, Kylian Mbappe and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang an indication that the Nigerian international who has not been getting enough playing time at the Ethihad will further be sidelined.
While City are reluctant to agree a permanent sale for Iheanacho, the Eagles star is eager to play more games which implies that they will consider loan deal as a middle course for both parties. Arrival of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus in
January marked the beginning of minimal play time for Iheanacho. Later injury for the Brazilian contrary to predictions in some quarters could not guarantee Iheanacho the much need playing time. Bundesliga clubs are however not the only ones hoping to have Iheanacho on their fold as West Brom had earlier shown interest following the departure of Saido Berahino to Stoke City.
Left for Man City fans however Iheanacho remains very important player who should be offered contract extension after summer. Over 82% of the fans voted for him to be signed on in a pool conducted on twitter with only 8% voting against. Iheanacho has scored seven goals in 25 appearances this season.

Rohr: Eagles will play Corsica in France

Super Eagles are set to camp in France according to plans by head coach Gernot Rohr.

The three-time Africa champions will open the camp from the 23rd of May as part of preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier aganist South Africa.

While in France they are scheduled to play a friendly aganist Corsica, a tiny island in France.

“We will play against Corsica and we will have about 20 to 23 players.
But not all the players will come with us to Paris on May 23 when we meet before proceeding to Ajaccio in Corsica, where the game will be played,” the Eagles coach said in a radio interview.

Super Eagles could also play Burkina Faso in another international friendly in Paris, during their stay in France, Rohr has said.

Both teams were billed to face each other last month in London, but the game was called off after the Burkinabe failed to secure entry visas into the United Kingdom.

thank you Pep, you've snuffed air out of a potential barclays young player of the year. choosing to carry Sane along just like you did Kevin. i want a rival epl team to get him. aside that Leverkusen looks good too, but epl is better. Onyekuru looks fitted in an arsenal setting.

This is not a Guardiola vs Wenger debate. The debate is which is the best destination for Onyekuru. I do not think Arsenal is a good destination and I made my reasons clear.

My elder brother said Wenger has also lost it when it comes to developing young talents and I agree with him.

EXTENSION AT THE RIGHT TIME? ARSENAL AND BAYERN ARE SAID TO HAVE HUNTED SARENREN BAZEE

Top teams from Europe seem to have had a greater interest in Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee than has been known so far. FC Arsenal have even presented a signature contract to the 96 talent, which extended their contract by 2021 on Saturday.

Just in time for the Derby kickoff Hannover 96 announced on Saturday the extension with Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee. The 20-year-old racer has signed a contract until 30 June 2021 . This is the long hick-hack over the future of the currently beaten talent at 96 once over. The contract would have expired in 2018.

"Since my proficiency book about a year ago, I have not given up thinking about leaving 96. Rather, I wanted to mature in peace and gain first experiences," Sarenren-Bazee is quoted in the press release of the association. During the training camp of the Reds in Jerez in January, the fast-paced attacker had looked for a surprise when he changed his adviser completely. The new one, Nadir Kama, a business man as Frankfurt, was not known in the industry so far.

Was the contract renewal at the right time? According to SID information, Bayern München, Schalke 04, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Bayer Leverkusen should have been interested in the legal aspects. FC Arsenal is expected to have already signed a 20-year contract with the 20-year-old.

NPFL U15 PROMISES: Osogbo fans applauds MFM FC's wonder kid

Mountain of Fire an Miracles Ministries FC diminutive midfielder, Lawal Sulaimon became the toast of many at the Oshogbo City Stadium during his team's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Under 15 Promises tournament.

MFM FC's brilliant performances could not see the lads through to the next round of the competition.
The Olukoya Boys who lost their first game of the competition 1-0 to ABS FC beat Sunshine Stars FC 3-0 and played out a one-all draw against Shooting Stars and Remo Stars with GTBank Principal Cup back-to-back top scorer, Eniayewu Hammed, Lawal Sulaimon, Atoyebi Gideon, Hammed Saheed, Olugade Jacob and Aina Ayobami, putting up five-star displays.

Lawal propelled his side to their first win of the tourney over Sunshine Stars, he provided the assist that led to Eniayewu first goal of the competition off a well taken free kick. The skilful playmaker capped his performance on that day with a goal from the penalty spot. His overall display during the tournament earned him standing ovation from spectators at the Oshogbo Stadium.

IDEYE DIRE AS TIANJIN TEDA STRUGGLE WITHOUT CAPTAIN MIKEL
By Shina Oludare

The forward’s pitiable form continued as his stuttering showing for Tianjin Tigers continued in their defeat to Guangzhou Evergrande

Brown Ideye’s barren spell continued in the Chinese Super League as Tianjin Teda bowed 3-0 at home to Guangzhou Evergrande on Sunday afternoon.

Since his move from Olympiacos few months back, the 28-year-old has failed to live up to expectation as he has gone four games without a goal – the latest against Southern China Tigers.

Despite getting to play for the entire duration of the game, Ideye could not stop his team from going down to visitors who secured maximum points courtesy Ricardo Goulart’s brace and Hanchao Yu’s effort.

Tianjin Teda have struggled without the presence of their influential skipper, John Obi Mikel who is out of action owing to injury.

The midfielder has already missed two games since suffering an abdominal strain in their 2-0 win against Chongqing Lifan – where he got his first league goal for the club.

With this recent defeat, Jaime Pacheco’s men slide to 11th with five points from five games. They host relegation-threatened Yanbian in their next game. And hopefully, they would have Mikel back in the team to stabilize their shaky backline.

Arsenal offer contract to injured Nigerian in German 2nd division
By Lee Hurley - Apr 16, 2017

Arsenal have reportedly offered a contract to Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee who plays with Hannover 96 in the German 2nd division.

Sarenren Bazee is currently out with a knee injury
He has just signed a new deal with Hannover until 2021
Winger has seven assists and one goal in 15 matches this season

Also chased by Bayern Munich and Schalke, Bild report that Arsenal ‘have already submitted a signing contract’ (via Google translate).

The 20-year-old right winger signed a new deal with Hannover just last month. That ties him to the club until 2021 and at the time of signing he said he wanted to repay the Germans. “In Hanover, everything is working for me,” he said.

“Hannover is a top address in Germany. The club has sat down with me and gave me the chance – I want to pay them back. “

He is currently sidelined with an inflammation of the knee, a problem that has ruled him out since the end of March.

Sarenren Bazee was initially expected to return on 11 April, but he missed Hannover’s game against Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday.

As for Onyekwuru Dortmund is a great team to play for even from the bench, Because they have excellent succession planning, and they will only buy him if they really have plans to use him, not this go for every striker available nonsense guardiola is doing.

The question is, Does Guardiola still have interest in Nacho? If he does, Iheanacho leaving will prove difficult. Iheanacho still has to learn that fluid movement upfront. I did not watch the last game but the other against Hull, Iheanacho moved better. The fact was that it was in a 4-4-2 formation and Nacho already plays the support striker role well.

The challenge is transferring such movement to his nine role. I honestly believe if Nacho gets this, he will become an excellent player. Aguero learnt it perfectly and Iheanacho can.

I say he stays one more season as a Citizen.
