i saw a comment of yours about your ex's being smokers..i just want to input something, i have lots of close friends that smoke but i can tell you this, most of them abuse it and if they r in a good mood it will enhance it but if is a bad mood it makes it worse..

i won't say smoking or not is a criteria for lasting relationship, but it plays a key role in most decision making and attitude shown to the opposite sex.

Every person is their own boss. If someone chooses to live life on their terms, throwing caution to the wind, I don't see how it's any of yours or mines business. Are they blowing smoke down YOUR throat? If not, stuff it & mind your own damn business. Because nobody is bitching about the choices that you make in your life. I'm sure not everything you do is "healthy" by some standards, so where do you get off thinking you have authority or a right to talk shit about somebody else's life choices? Lol, what do they smoke? Because to my understanding, taking a smoke break, calms people down. Almost the same effect caffeine has on some people. The only time I've seen someone become really irritable, is when they were trying to quit smoking. Heard it does a number on you psychologically for a couple of days at least. But other than that, I can't say the smokers I've known were bad people. They were just like everyone else going by the complaints I've heard from my friends about their non-smoking boyfriends. Same script, different cast, whether smoker or non-smoker.

I disagree, if we consider the after effect of both you will find out that marijuana is worse and that's why it is banned from any sporting event cus it is considered as a form of enhancement for athletes.
in terms of odour, marijuana leaves a lasting foul smell in one's body compared to cigarette, why d you think in some bar, restaurant and hotel, they don't allow people to smoke marijuana but they allow cigarette.

yes I can know, I can detect smoke from a long distance and for some reason I always know people who smoke(even if it's just closet smoking). Secondly I usually ask and if I later on discover you smoke it's goodbye from me cause there's no need dating someone with different ideals and constantly trying to change the person. It is stupid

I don't care if they smoke, I care what they smoke. I see nothing irresponsible about a guy that smokes cigarettes. In fact, all my exes smoked. Drugs however, that's where I draw the line because some of the behaviour that comes with it, is irresponsible & just plain irrational.

If you don't like the habit, fine, that's your own conviction. But I think it's narrow minded to reach a verdict about someone's personality based on something as average as smoking, long before you get to know to them on a much deeper level. That to me is village mentality.
