Nasarawa State isn't a bad place for service year but don't pray to be posted to the interior villages...Lolz... You know what to expect there already. But some villages are cool and friendly. You will enjoy free food stuffs from villagers at times. But when you get to camp, there's what to do if you intend serving in state capital. Join Band!.. There are other means though.

Nasarawa State has one of the best camps in Nigeria. The environment is neat, the food is manageable, cost of food stuffs and other things are not at exorbitant as it has be painted online. I didn't touch my first allawe on camp and was still able to save part of the money I went with. But those don't expect too much when it comes to social activities, we no try for that at all...Our camp fire was very brief, some of us couldn't DEMONSTRATE as planned...Lolz...The soldiers are very friendly, we were not given any hard drilling.

The state pays 5k monthly allowance, for those at the ministry, they collect theirs monthly (CASH) but those in school will collect after 5months. Those at the Federal University are not paid, and are not entitled to state allowance as well. My PPA is cool, everyday is our day of work and everyday is our holiday as well. Not a school sha. And serving in Lafia, the state capital. Transportation is damn cheap here!.

The choice is now yours....Lemme drop my pen for my colleagues to add their voice.

Thanks for this write up bro. Congrats on your being retained. I've really been considering abuja as my first choice for a long time now and your post just gave me a reason why I need not waver on that as my first choice. As much as you've mentioned the pros of serving in abj, I know there might still be some cons as well. I'll be grateful if you can list them out for us. And, was it a company you served in that retained you?

Nope, if you did not find your name on the Senate list, it probably means your institution did not send your details to NYSC or your data is not correct..
As for the registration you can do it at home, but you will need a fingerprint scanner.

Well, I have a very important message for ya'll..........I'm sure many of you have been following NYSC very closely and it's no longer news that this year, lots of corps member have lost their lives while serving their father land. In Sokoto, a male corper lost his life just moments to claiming his certificate. NYSC isn't as much fun as many of you think it is, I'm right now serving in Kebbi State and you don't need me tell you about the weather and sharia as you already know, so what makes you think you won't be posted to Kebbi or even a worse place? (God forbid, right?) I didn't even choose Kebbi to begin with.



Without too much derailing, please don't get yourself embroiled in the euphoria of NYSC that you forget to pray. Lots of crazy things are happening to corps members out there that would make you think wild and weird. So my dear hopefuls, please pray for your life. NYSC doesn't care about us, they surely would post people to heated zones in Nigeria and expect you to survive. And please pray for me too oh and all of us in diaspora. I'm not that guy who really goes to church that much but trust me guys, (this is not to scare you but to remind you) we've gotta pray for our lives, ain't nothing we can do without God.

If you have fingerprint scanner and a scanner at home you are good to go
