So because Maureen sent Jake away, he left his family for three good years,...No contacts,.... . Now he's in the arms of another woman,......... He'll end up hurting that Angel of a girl, because he'll go back to his family soon.

I expect more from Jake. I expect Jake to stay around and monitor his kids esp Victoria even if it's from afar. Like visiting her in school once in a while. But I'm not disappointed. It's typical of men to think a child will ask of his/her father when they grow up. Not minding the psychological effect not having a father around would have had on the child while growing up.

The girl watched her father went on his knee, begging her mother. She watched her mother sent him away and was forcefully seperated from him by her uncle. Not just anyman, not just any father, but she happened to bond with him more than even her mother. A child doesn't forget this kind of emotional pain. She had lived with that pain for two years without daring to voice it out. She had began stealing and misbehaving just to get her mother's attention. My dear, children of these days are smart. I still find it.outrageous for a kid to do such thing no matter the emotional issue he or she is passing through... a Nigerian kid don't have such audacity but I could but wrong through having never experienced an extremely emotional kid.

Tell me this, how can a father who so much love his kids stay completely away from them because their mum threaten him

Either way,he would still find a way to see his kids privately without their mum's knowledge especially one who share a bond with him...that part that he stayed away for two to three years doesn't add up. it is remotely impossible unless the man is emotionally insane.

I blame Joel,he for one did not have it smooth at the beginning of his marriage, if Mitch's family had taken away their daughter wen they should have done so,what would have become of him. his character is soo annoying honestly

That Joel is very annoying! As if he was a perfect hubby in d beginning! I don't blame him tho, I blamed Maureen for her stupidity. No matter what he might have done in d past, she should have listen to his side of the story. After all there was a reason behind Jake's last disappearance. Twasn't intentional. But she was so clouded by her feelings that she didn't even fink of her children.
Jake mah no try at all. No responsible man leaves his kids just because their mum asked u to. He could have monitor them from afar or at least fight for visitation. Now he is forming humble man for "Angel". *smh*

There is nothing outrageous here. The fact that you can not abandon your kids does not mean another person can't. It happens and I've seen it with my two eyes

Why is he a jerk?

i wl stil blame maureen for her stupidity, cos henry, joel that cause the whole thlng did nt av perfect marriage at first, they work for their marriage, she should at least give jake chance becos of her kids wen she had chase jake out to anoda woman and angel is in love wit jake.

The only thing I ask of Jake is for him to be a responsible father. He should try and make his kids see reasons why he and their mum can't be together any more.
I'm not expecting him to be with a woman who won't give him a chance to explain himself before making her judgement/conclusion.
If they had gone to court as Joel/Maureen wanted then, what would have happened? Maureen should stick with her loving brother who knows it all and never see anything good in Jake, (as if we didn't know how he married his wife) and they should come to a settlement about the kids
