Nice one OP... but for the words that do not exist, tell us the right word which is correct, so that we can substitute the wrong ones. For example you gave the correct word for DISVIRGIN as DEFLOWER. But no correct word for GO-SLOW etc. |

Doesn't matter,language is arbitrary, as long as the person you communicate with understand you, you are good to go.THe only problem your may face is when you commune with foreigners . |

Other countries over time include these unusual words that are now considered mainstream in their dictionary eg bootylicious. But here we are trying to correct ourselves albeit subtly. I have since realized that as long as the majority understands the words that come out of my mouth and it is spoken by many then I don't care who is offended by it. Those are native English, which were coined by Nigerians. Every country has it own style of English different from the standard English language. So I see nothing wrong in using it amongst ourselves in as much those spoken to understand it. 3 Likes |
