I remember chatting a NL member @mathschic (apologies for the mention), via mail, because I sincerely wanted to be friends with because of her maths inclination, which I also do have. At one point, after talking about her not so pleasant previous experience with some NL members, she was like she would be hard pressed to give out her number immediately, even without me asking for her contact. It kinda put me off at that point, that I had to stay back.
Yoruba people say, bi a ba diju ki eni buruku koja,titi ti eni rere ma fi koja,a ko ni mo. meaning, if we say we will close our eyes for the bad person(s) to move past us, then we won't know when the good one(s) also move along.

My point is this, it may not be right to completely close ones mind, because of a previous experience. That's like indirectly ceding the power to someone(due to his/her actions) to limit our expressiveness.

Based on your experiences, you could have probably noticed a pattern, that you can map with people's intention.

I know how it feels to be in that position. You may just clear yourself and move on or away, if it won't be too much.
I know it's an online forum, where no special right is delegated to anyone. But people can still view a thread as 'theirs', based on their past and current activities on it, like they 'nurtured' it or so... You may try to see it that way and try to keep your cool, with or away from it.

No I did not think so and am not part of it. I have repeatedly said I wanted to know or understand you. More like understanding your personality as a result of your posts.

I've seen posts of yours where you're not necessarily technically saying it yourself, but responding with comments like 'lesson learnt' when someone else says it, which sort of comes across as a cosign, if it isn't, fair enough. Anyway you've said that's not what you were thinking, thanks for clarifying.

Lesson learnt was me saying I shouldn't have been intrusive or nosey as some have said also. If I have cosigned otherwise,I must have interpreted the post wrongly. I shall check to see.

Madam, that is me contributing to the thread and asking for their opinion if they choose to give it. I posted such comments and asked for their opinion. If they had, you would have seen where I was going with it.
