menxer: Seriously? Oya make them arrest am na... then they will know that the church is spiritual. 1Tim3:15 "... the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." Even the woman self no get common sense. The president and his wife are committed Christ Embassy members and you are dreaming of arresting their pastor. |

donnie: @bolded it was the name and motto of a church. You think, the President being a member of his church is a license to contravene the law of the land? Leave sentiments, if as a corporate being the church contravenes the law, what example is it showing to individuals? The pillar and ground of truth indeed. |

menxer: Forget that thing... contravene what law? Human beings made the law. Human beings can change it. |
Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by menxer: 7:42am On Apr 19, 2017 |
donnie: Yes, Until a change in that law is effected, it remains binding on anyone who contravenes. |
Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by donnie(m): 11:50am On Apr 19, 2017 |
menxer: Oya mr. Binding, has he been arrested yet? The earlier christians realize that they can challenge existing ungodly laws, the better. Yes, they can do so legally. |

donnie: Hahahahahahahahaha The constitution of a country is not the commandments of the Bible; which ungodly law was challenged? Is it the law that instituted slavery? Did the early Christians challenge the law that commanded stoning for "blasphemy?" If yes, why was Stephen stoned to death. Is there any law in the bible against: drug trafficking, gun running, money laundering, human trafficking, poaching, domestic violence, environmental pollution? There is nothing like ungodly law in any constitution if you say inhuman laws, I may agree; but then laws are made by men for men and revised/updated with time. |

menxer: Asking questions and answering them yourself... well, no probs, if that makes you happy. The decree to worship king Nebuchadnezzar's idol at the sound of the trumpet, in the days of Shadrach Meshack and Abednego; was it from God? Did the three Hebrew boys accept the decree or did they challenge it? What was the end result? What about the laws against conversation which some are pushing for, and which they have christined "religious freedom"; it that also from God? |
Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by menxer: 7:56pm On Apr 19, 2017 |
donnie: It's like you didn't understand the part of the question meant for you to answer, and failure to answer that shows the "early Christians" didn't challenge any law or legislation. @bolded, are those whom you referred to as "early Christians?" I believe you will understand what is meant by "religious freedom" if/when you travel to Malaysia, Singapore, Jakarta or Saudi Arabia. |

menxer: See the response of Peter and John after they were threatened by the authorities, that they shouldn't speak in the name of Jesus... Acts 4:18-20 "So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.” The apostles were addressing council men, the rulers and elders of the people. |

donnie:Don't forget the crux of this discussion: "challenging the law or constitution of a country by early Christians." The passage you quoted, was that part of the law in Israel? |
Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by donnie(m): 7:17am On Apr 20, 2017 |
menxer: The first law of Moses said, "Thou shalt have no other God before me". And the apostles proclaimed Jesus as God which to the unbelieving Jewish authorities, was against the law. That nonsense that woman in SA is requesting for, was that part of the law in SA? |
Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by menxer: 7:34am On Apr 20, 2017 |
donnie: You don't even know what you are arguing, so the "Jewish authorities" that made the "first law" you quoted were unbelievers? If you say proclaiming "Jesus as God" amounts to challenging the "first law" was that law changed? Go and refresh your mind with the OP, understand the law that setup the commission and its job description. |
Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by donnie(m): 10:04am On Apr 20, 2017 |
menxer: Do you know what you are arguiing?-jumping from law of blasphemy and stoning to arguing if shadrach Meshach and Abednego were early christians. menxer: Those of the council who intepreted and upheld that law didnt believe in the deity of Jesus or were dubious, hence their command. Just like many governments today use the law to persecute christians and promote their selfish agenda. menxer: It doesn't have to be, as long as its interpretation and enforcement do not go against God's Word. The interpretation of the law is as important as the law itself. The elders and councilors will have had to agree that the very law they believed in spoke of Jesus' Christ the messiah. So also we, as christians have a say as to how the law is intepreted or enforced. Afterall, we too are citizens. Shouldn't Christian lawmakers be expected to defend our beliefs anymore? If they insist on intepreting or enforcing the law in an ungodly manner, then we as christians will have no option than to insist on obeying God rather man. menxer: I am sure the CE church has done that; so that woman and her policy have been put in check... and no shaking. |
Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by menxer: 11:40am On Apr 20, 2017 |
donnie: You called shedrach, meshach, and abednego Christians? SMH.
Can you give an example of such law where it is written? Or are your saying the law that abolished slavery or gave women a say in politics and elections, or religious freedom were ungodly laws? Don't forget these are against bible commandments. Yes, there are still countries with laws against religious freedom now, just like in the days of the inquisition. [/quote]
Has any law or commandment in the bible been amended to avoid wrong interpretation or enforcement? Is it not paradoxical that those laws in the bible were given by God in the first instance (like the first law you quoted). Yes, nations review their constitutions from time to time to address these lapses. |

I just discovered that i've been exchanging words with an atheist: menxer Left to you guys alone, there will be no church. But God has decided to give the dominion to His church and has put all things under us. We refuse to live as victims. We will reign untill we check out of this world by rapture. Did I say every law is ungodly? I will not argue with you again because the thing that made you choose atheism(foolishness) will not be cured by ordinary arguments but by the impartation of the Spirit of wisdom. |
Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by menxer: 2:08pm On Apr 20, 2017 |
donnie: Hahahahahahahahaha So because you can't defend your position in an argument you resort to name calling? Is that the hallmark of a Christian? Atheist indeed! |
