Awesu122: Come on! Your GRE score is awesome! That's an equivalent of 660 - 680 on the GMAT and it can fetch you admission to a decent school in the US. Send me a PM, I'm also a Fall 18 Business School applicant, but not for MBA |

Awesu122: Murray state ke....no go enter one chance ooo Good that u got some form of funding but to do foundation courses for Murray MBA is simply not worth it and it good u mentioned the school s7o that we can correct you ....the praise of Solomon i never imagined it for Murray state. That a big no no . Yes you can go there but in interview dont say u choose it because of praises last fall someone here at the interview said he was going to Murray state because it was "top ranked". That word ticked off the Vo who denied him visa asking him that if u talk of highly ranked it should be schools like UPenn and asked him why he wasnt going to Upenn. Anway the person went back for another interview and second time gave other reasons for Murray state and was given ... that transcript should be here somewhere. 2 Likes |

LagosismyHome: Thanks once again my sister Noted wld never mention anything like Murray a top school, that is if I would even be going for the interview at all, trying to work and see if I could catch up with another admission , and there is one other thing I noticed about their courses, their MBA has this I have been looking to study for a while, Human Resources managemt, not all Schools offer that particular course in their syllabus, and about ranking they have a bit of good ranking as a public school in southern USA, though as you have said they are not in same league with unip |

Hi everyone. Please a friend of mine is bin given conditional admission due to low toefl score and she was asked to attend els language center in USA for one year, also her I-20 was sent by the center due. What is her chance of getting a visa? Please has anyone been given such admission here before? How would she answer if the vo ask her why did she not re write toefl instead? |

Toyinmade: It is better she does TOEFL again. She should study hard for it and practice as well. I say this because it is more economical, and she saves herself the stress of doing 2 ESOL classes in 2 semesters when she gets here. While in Nigeria, there's a tendency to be desperate and jump at the offer. But I say, when she gets here, the slightest pre-requisite will seem like an additional burden. Moreover, She may be billed for the ESOL classes, and when she sees the tuition cost, she'll wish she had re-taken it in Nigeria for a "give-away" price. |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by LagosismyHome(f): 2:37am On Apr 20, 2017 |
Toyinmade: Nigeria is an English speaking country so TOEFL should really not be that difficult..... With some offers she can write it for 50k ...that way cheaper than spending a year attending els. Also going for visa interview with a condictional one year at ELS is not really advisable... I would say she should redo the TOEFL 1 Like |

Breamz: When fillig your ds 160, when asked "do you have immediate relative in the usa" did you tick yes? If u tick no and u enter POE claiming to see one uncle, it can be a problem. I guess chicago is closer to OH, then u can fly to chicago and connect to OH from there |

you do not need a collateral. Just go to their site www.prodigyfinance.com and apply, its very straight forward as long as your school is among the schools they partner with and fund. I am a recipient. I just got my loan approved, No hassles. imperiouxx: |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by saninwa: 8:10am On Apr 20, 2017 |
lionlee216: Based on the DS-160, Uncle is not an immediate relative; but Other relative. Immediate relatives are parents, spouse, fiancee, children and siblings. |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by saninwa: 8:18am On Apr 20, 2017 |
Breamz: This shouldn't be a problem at all. Chicago is a point of entry, you can fly straight to chicago. When asked how you intend locating your school, you can tell the CBP officer that a relative is already waiting for you at the airport to drop you off at school. Once you pass the immigration check point, you are free to visit anywhere in the USA before your program start date. But before that, try and report your arrival to your DSO. As simple as that. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by saninwa: 8:58am On Apr 20, 2017 |
Breamz: Send a mail to your DSO reporting your intended arrival date and time if possible; Your arrival airport, and you can even state the airline you are flying. Have his mobile number at hand incase of any issue at POE. Once in the USA, write again to your DSO reporting your arrival, he/she will tell you any necessary info. As a student, your DSO should be your point of contact upon arrival in the usa. |
