2.my first degree is elect/elect, I have an mba and am presently doing msc in biomedical engr'g.which of my credentials should I assess given that I won't finish my msc until January(too far). Evaluate your MBA
3. Can I use my IT work experience to apply then look for a job in biomedical engrg when I eventually get there? You can apply to any job even as a doctor if you see employer take your non medical degrees,[b]that was on a lighter mode though[/b]
4.I intend to go with my family, if I am the principal applicant, can I go with my family when everything eventually clicks....so at least I won't have to look for much money for POF? Your POF must be for the total number of family members whether accompanying or not

Please go with Faky.201's suggestion. MSc alone is sufficient，dont waste time and money on securing your BSc transcript from OOU. IRCC requires ECA mainly for your highest qualification.

Besides, I heard IQAS evaluates UK qualifications faster，so their default 15 working days processing time may not apply to you. Even my Nigerian MBA was done in just 9 working days.

I can see you entering the pool shortly. Have you written IELTS?

did you use standard delivery or courier?

Cos my husby sent his about the same the time from the UK and got a mail like few days after that its in line for processing.

His school asked if he wanted standard delivery which can take up to 10days or courier (at a cost of course) and delivery will be 2-3days. I told he to opt for courier. So all the same courier or standard delivery they should at least have it by now.

Though i am just starting the PR journey, I have a question so as not to be caught unawares. Do I need to get a police clearance certificate from USA too even though I only visit, sometimes for 4 to 5 months? Is the PCC required for 6 months at a stretch or total of all visits? If yes, where can I get my fingerprints taken in Lagos. I just want to know so that I can put it down on my to-do list, thanks.

medicals changed to passed..i think i did the medicals 3 weeks before submitting cos i waited for the money to be 6 months in my
account so no need for letter of explainination

@cookies Let me give you a tip: send them a fax today that you need your ECA latest tomorrow so that you can enter EE pool immediately and get ITA at the next draw. Let them know that you can work with the scanned copy in the meantime.

Follow it up with a phone call a few hours later.

Who knows, there might be a draw next week.

kudos to u guys for making this thread a reality, am new but I have gone through some pages of this thread and I have learnt a lot. Am about registering for IELTS, and I will contact my school for my transcripts to be send to the assessing body.
I have HND in Electrical, which of the assessing body will u advise me to send my transcript to and also do I need to send my wife's transcript also, or she should just sit for IELTS alone? though she have just NCE but

Hi all, I have a friend who wants to apply as a teacher but he is worried because he does not possess a B.Ed. His qualifications are B.Sc and M.Sc but he has the required teaching experience in a secondary school.

His worry is that, on the NOC, it's stated that: "Teachers of academic subjects require a bachelor's degree in education which is often preceded by a bachelor's degree in the arts or sciences"

Is this really a cause for worry? Can he apply since he has the teaching experience?

To my understanding, this may only hinder him there if he wants to teach, that is , he will have to obtain a B.Ed to be eligible for a teaching position but I doubt if it will affect his application as a teacher.

Kindly shed more light on this.

Hello house. Trust our day is going well. Pls my ECA has been showing verification sent to institution since 28th March. I have word from my school that it has not been received by them yet. My hubby's ECA was about 1 week behind mine initially but WES is almost done with his own. Pls i need advice on how i can sort this out.

Sent a message to WES to resend the verification to my school. Nothing yet oo. Help pls gurus in the house.

UK schools generally have information on how to request for transcripts on their websites. You have to contact your school yourself and have them send the transcripts to WES. Some schools charge for it, some do not. My sister's school charged 25 pounds while mine did not charge anything, I only paid for postage, 6 pounds. So get in touch with your school, ASAP.

You have to contact your school to process your transcript and send directly for ECA (WES or IQAS)

The school charge us 10pounds or so and 20pounds to use courier for delivery.

Once the addition of total time spent in any country is more than 6 months u need a PCC. U only need 1 irrespective of the total time spent in d country.

Read back abt 10-20 pages, some peeps discussed how to get it. Cheers

Contact the school, attach the WES form, pay the required fees and all would be taken care off.

Its advisable to say the name of your school so that a fellow alumni can tell you how to proceed.

1-Use your IT work experience since u have more than 3years in that field.

2-Evaluate ur MBA. It will give u more points.

3-Yes, You can get PR as a lawyer and work as a cook when u arrive in Canada, d choice is yours.

4-Irrespective of the fact that they are going with you now or later, d proof of funds must cover for all your family members at the applicationa and evaluation stages.

(1) Under normal circumstances (i.e. all documents submitted accurately and correctly), what's the maximum processing time for the PR application? I mean the time from AOR to PR issued...?

(2) When IRCC request for passport, how long do they hold on to it for...weeks / months?

Yes, i think addition of spouse somewhat delays the process. My medical got passed after 34 days (March 6), AOR was on Jan. 31, i noticed those who submitted on the same day and in my stream passed in 29 /30 days (march 1/2). My first request letter was on March 1. I think the new trend in the last 1 month is that it is taking longer for medicals to be passed.
