Pls oooo,
Can one be denied based on the fact that he is yet to have kids and as such he has no strong ties to Nigeria and a possibility that he won't return to the country.

A friend had his interview this week and was denied on this basis. He's been married for more than 3 years now but no child yet.
I was worried cos I intend applying and I also don't have a kid yet.

An outcome such as this could be due to several factors known to the applicants and the CO who conducted their interview. This could be that:

1, Their travel itinerary does not conform to the required norm of a visitor who has plans to return back to their country.

2, There was no cogent plan as to why they intended to travel.

3, What was the nature of their intended visit to Kansas and was this reason consistent with what Kansas is known to offer.

4, Do they have families in the States with records of previous visa violations?

5, Are the applicants really certain that they are who they say they really are?

What i mean is, they are not planning to come back, they just wanna get in with a visiting visa and then they process the residency stuff
Pls enlighten me, because I haven't heard of it before. How do you get in with a visiting visa and get residency stuff?

Did they tell the VO this their plan?

No they didn't mention it to the VO... I really do not know how they plan to go about it.. only their agent knows.. just help analyse the transcript and correct the mistakes, thanks.

Their intentions are questionable. The VO sees through them. There's nothing in the transcript. Just two people not telling the truth.

To the best of my knowledge, they fell into the VO's trap of catching intending immigrants and it has been noted in their records. If you ask me they should reapply after 90 days. In my last few posts my hubby reapplied after 3 years to prove he is not desperate or interested in visiting or overstaying in the US. And these VO know these things through our body language

I am sorry bro, but I have to tell you this. This your sister and her family's plan is DOE. This is the reason why a lot of people end up stuck in the system here with nothing to show for iot after years and years of living in the US.

Legal residency/citizenship or even Employment Authorization, they cannot get. Home (Nigeria) they cannot go back to because of shame and the automatic ban once they step out of the US. Some even have deportation orders pending for them. How in the world do you think they will emigrate to the US on a visiting visa and get their "stay" visa? On what basis? Fraudulent marriage to an American?

They both would have to divorce each other before they can even think about getting married to an American for papers. But remember, they came here as a couple. Married. Good luck convincing USCIS that the new marriage is not a sham paper one. Even if one is lucky, who will file for the other one? Abi they will remarry each other? I am confused. You better advise them before they make a mistake they would come to regret.

They might say, no need to have papers, living in America is enough and I will have a better life. But have they thought of the fear of living in a stage of never knowing? They see a cop on the road, their heart will start beating fast hoping that the cop doesn't stop them and ask for their ID. They can never drive (except if they wanna do that without a license, which is a crime). They can't work (except for under the table employers who will treat them like crap). They can't leave the country. Their first child who came here with them can't go to college, he either has to produce an SSN which he doesn't have or apply for a student visa. They cant get health insurance. They're stuck. That's not the kind of life I wish my loved ones

Peeps be aware that contract marriages for green cards has become death traps and potential for long term slavery.

This is deep, very deep.

You see these people are not aware until they fall into this trap. Posts like these from enlightened people will help educate people more before they make a wrong decision because they are blindedby illusions. It is not their fault. They are ill advised, hence I led deblaize on to understand their point of view. And sincerely, reading his posts, You can't blame them because they just don't know and judging from his reaction now, he has a better understanding.

The worst part of this illegal immigration is being stuck.

Red neck area if u ask me. Im my head when I hear of places like Kansas, Mississippi, some deep south areas, all I remember is white supremacists. Before they will use someone to do sacrifice.

The VO must have refused them to save their lives

I know Kansas is a state, I was particularly referring to the Kansas City in Missouri and your right, they are racists. Went there to visit my bestie and her family four years ago, and was appalled. The only good thing there is that rent is very cheap and the taxes aren't that high there. They should give testimony in church on Sunday, On how the VO saved their lives

Me.......I told him.

He was just typing and didn't ask any questions again and I noticed d 3 people before me he rejected dat was d way he was just typing so I decided to make it more interactive to keep him busy and talked more on my duties, told him am am investment banker also and he became really interested and asked questions about Govt bonds and treasury bills, I had to explain for about a minute and he started typing again and said my visa has been authorized.
Basically I think that was my strongest point because some bankers were also rejected. I wasn't even asked my marital status, they just want to confirm u knw what u are saying and my advice just be calm and speak smartly and truthfully and above all believe God.
