Didn't do anything special. Just sold myself as well as I could. The main problem I saw in my team was that being nervous made a lot of them forget their rehearsed presentation.
Also, they couldn't answer correctly when they set some traps in the questions about our case study.

I don't see the point of criticizing your team here, to be honest there are those who answered the tricky questions right and presented confidently but still weren't chosen, I don't know what Sahara is looking for tbh as I also got accepted but your statement was made with a pinch of condescension and is disrespectful to your teammates who made it this far and whose efforts made you shine (as I imagine ) all the best nonetheless

Send the bio data back via email together with the email confirming your availability on or before 12 noon tomorrow. You do not need to go to Sahara to submit a power point slide.

Am I the only person seeing interview will start by 4.30pm and may last for 4 hours ......8.30pm to 9pm?

Heheheheheh@ Shaky shaky Yesso... I picked number 2 I think.... How was urs

BTW We now know who LaRochelle is grin
Re: Sahara Group Graduate Program 2017 by LaRochelle(f): 9:36am On Apr 22, 2017
My Experience.

I started my interview say around 9:50pm or so. I entered, greeted and sat. I was asked to introduce myself, I did. Mr Tonye even told me to clap for myself. I was already feeling like a Chief. It was time to pick a number from the basket. Of all the numbers my hand could pick, it was freaking number 9 embarassed. The topic was "Love is not a feeling but a business". I could argue for or against.

I was blank, I kid not. I asked for some seconds to gather my thoughts. Is it not when you have thoughts that you can gather them sad? My head, brain and all its components decided to betray me at the last minute. I attempted arguing for. I mumbled one two-line poem, and fuel finished.

The Board tried all they could to juggle my head. They told me to replace the love with like. They said I should replace like with the person I like. They said I should scream out (one of them helped me scream but I couldn't scream 'cause I really can't consciously). One of them used Valentine to see if it could work. They even sang for me Lagbaja's Wherever You Go. Ladies and Gentlemen, my brain was just being silly.

I now decided to argue against. I said some stuff I can't even remember. Mr Tonye had to thank me for my time grin. I felt I didn't do well and had to apologise (whether that was a wrong move or not, I know not).

All in all, I really liked the Board. They made me feel super comfortable. They had nice, welcoming expressions on their faces; the kind that is interested in what you have to say. They were some young people there; people who are in their thirties, some forties, two or three in their fifties.

Modified:
Till now, I still can't conjure up what I would have said. I am not going to blame my head again. If you have any idea of what I could have said, kindly tell.

cheesy When you people asked who LaRochelle is, did you guys really think I would raise my hand cool?
Re: Sahara Group Graduate Program 2017 by agroronnie: 10:55am On Apr 22, 2017
Lol..... same here..... i figured who larochelle was and i totally denied agroronnie. .... lol.... anonymousity for life.

So my experience. ... it was the most awkward and funniest interview of my life.
After 4-6 hours of waiting, my turn came. I entered largest board room of more than 13 people, am talking all three ceos with their friends, managers, even cleaners and other employees sitting behind the managers all one side and me sitting alone the side with "the microphone". My slide pulled up and the legal lady asked me to introduced myself and i did.
I was asked to pick and my village people just decided to come for me at that very moment and i picked the most awkwardest of questions.... number 13 "patrotism as a negative human bias", ok! My brain didnt go completely off.... just partially i could still feel some sparks. I started gathering my thoughts at least i could connect patrotism to loyalty, i just didnt understand the negative human bias. At this point one of the ceos was giving me banter. "Were you in a debate club in school, i said yes, he said i look like i argue a lot, i told him we'll find out in just a minute or two... everyone laughed including myself.... but my brain wasnt aware of the laugh cos i was thinking...... apparently they wanted me to talk about Adolf hitler or Gahdaffi and i even forgot i could argue against and use Mandela instead.... so i basically spoke theoretically with no real life example.....

One of the Ceos said i didn't speak on the point, Tonye Cole said where is the main point... one said lets me help you out... i should talk about either a historic or present time when one's patrotism lead him to do something negative.... i thought about the current North Korean dictator Kim Jong and the other guy rushed me and said thats not patrotism, thats madness. I argued otherwise that perhaps he is being patrotic to his country or his grandfather's values and he believes he is doing the right thing for his country by developing nuclear weapons for protection or war. Then he said have i heard of Trump, i said what Trump is doing is totally arguable, to him he is trying to make America great again but he will always run the country the way he knows best .... like a business.
Mr cole now diverted to am i patrotic about Nigeria, i said yes. So what do you love about Nigeria.... took me time before i heard the love in the question with the rest of the board re-emphasizing the love back to me so i can hear it well..... i said the diversity in nigeria and i like experiencing new culture . Mr. Cole now picked out the fact that i served in the East and i am from the East, i said i redeployed baeed on health issues, as usual everyone makes that gesture that they are 100% sure that you are lying just like every negligent nysc health official in camps to the extent that corpers started dying in camp because they thought they were lying. I simply told them that I camped in Kano camp which is in the desert and i didnt find climate wasnt favourable.

The other tackler Ceo now decided to pick up on my family and father, asked if i looked my father or mother, i said father, (to be honest i dont even know who i look like maybe my uncle sef), he said if i behave like him sometimes, if he has any sons i said yes i have brothers... he now asked how many kids my dad has..... i said 7 of us.
Now every member of the board decided to make the "disappointment" sound... like its a let down, so i literally turned towards them with a straight face and said thats not a bad thing..... that moment everybody burst into a loud laughter, it was so funny i couldn't keep a straight face anymore so i started laughing.
So the ceo still laughing said madam get out of here ;DAnd i thank them for their time and as i was walking out one said madam please go and read up Adolf hitler or gaddhaffi those two could examples you could have used. I said okd..d. thank you. Exited and the guy at the elevator handed me an envelope of cash for transport as they did everyone else... this was past 11pm.
In arrears now, i feel like i was boxed into a corner were the board all had an idea of the questions and had already predetermined answers all expected me to argue for the topic "patrotism as a negative human bias" using hilter gaddafi and the dictators but i could have argued against using mandela whose patrotism brought about the end of apathy in South Africa.
In all, if they are going to use our replies to those abstract questions....... then i enjoyed the ride to possibilities. But in conclusion i liked that i had a good laugh but it was awkward as fudge.
All the best
