I get your point Godvilla
and I strongly support technology
However buying technology devices from unknown brands is really a risk and it is better to buy from home-based brands
For example, it won't be good for you to buy a phone and have to order parts expensively from other countries
When you can buy a home-based brand and have assurance that if you need replacement parts they are readily available
That is what my thread implied
There's more to our local service centres than you know.
Am a tech software and hardware engineer, I type from experience that's why u don't see me engage in arguments when it comes to topics like this. Because most people just type from assumptions or lack of in-dept 1st hand experience.
I can tell u that, I get more clients in my office than calcare, and when I don't have parts of their devices, I ordered them online and fix it. They get their devices within a week or less, compared to service centres When u'll be asked to wait for 3 weeks with no full assurance of coming back to see ur device fixed.
I have numerous clients who abandoned their innjoo devices in their service center due to lack of replacements, I even have a personal innjoo Max 2 plus in their service centre. I searched for the parts online to no avail hence my reason for taking it to their service center but it's been almost a year now.

Ordering for parts of devices online ain't that expensive as u may think.
Devices like Xiaomi and Co are built with quality materials, u don't really need to fear about damaged parts like u would with some devices sold solely in Nigeria.

Am always transparent when people come to me for advice/tips. If they need MTK devices, I recommend Infinix(Mostly) because of their battery life. Sometimes Tecno too.
But when they seek for true value for money, I advice them to go for a snapdragon device. Only if they can exercise patience because placing orders online takes about 1 to 2 weeks.
So my sister, there is absolutely nothing to fear about buying things online, just make a Lil homework and seek for help from experienced people.
Have a nice day my dear.

I really don't wanna type out everything here...
So check this out... https://www.quora.com/Is-it-safe-to-buy-from-AliExpress

Minimal items take longer time to ship than valueable items over 50kg.

Shops also have their own conditions, u need to be aware of the factors mentioned in the above link. And if u still need more clarification, u ask people who have been using Aliexpress for a long time.

If you used China Post Registered Airmail, it can be slow sometimes...up to 21 days.

I ordered for tampered glass and it took 3 weeks via that shipping service.

Which shipping service did you use?

The truth is that you are not posting the full story
You probably bought a second hand phone that has been tampered with
I have used my tecno w3 for months until I got my L9 and they are still serving me
Keep quiet already.

Tecno phones and most China phones do not have second hand value so the guy is right.

And yes, you hype L9+ unnecessarily, I bought the phone before you, it's good but under powered and over priced.
The phone has 2015 specs and this is 2017.

I got it basically because of the battery which Ialready regret because Oukitel has a launched a better phone at almost the same price range.

Though I don't expect you to know why we go for other Asian brands instead of tecno because you basically don't go beyond social media and naira land while using the phone but at least read what others are saying and learn from them.

Tecno is good because they're readily available but if you can wait then go for other brands. The repair center you talk about is almost useless to many people.

It's of no use to me.

Visit any phone repairer and see for yourself, most phones on their table are tecno, infinix and Itel. Why? They're not durable.

I already hate mentioning Itel because some of their phones stop working when it's about to rain.

I can never come to your thread or even advertise Xiaomi because it seems that your marketing strategy is based on pulling other phones down
I would rather advertise tecno, gionee, infinix, LG etc
You guys are not even top ten
You started pulling others down when you said that we should go for Tecno instead of buying from Aliexpress.

Honestly, I use the phone personally and its very nice
I understand that its because of dollar that everything is expensive
How about this.

Octa-Core 4x1.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 + 4x1.0 GHz processor, Ram, 4GB, 733 MHz
Internal Storage : 64GB
Screen, 5.5 inches FHD display
Camera Overview : 16 Megapixels / 8 Megapixels
OS Version: Android 7.0 Nougat
Battery – Non-Removable 6,080 mAh Lithium-Polymer
Water proof and dust proof. etc.
At a very affordable price

No need to even argue. The phone makes sense.

Some of the people I have been interacting with here are undergrads, but i respect them. I even enjoy my convos with them because my brain is on edge.

I bought my sister a Tecno Camon C8.. Oh my God, that phone hangs worse than a spoilt cd player, oh and I bought it from 3c hub with receipt. She always complained... Well she now uses a Xiaomi Redmi 4a and the experience is far far better, it's like NIGHT and DAY.. So clear.

If Tecno doesn't step up I won't even touch their phones with an electric pole

I will have respectfully engaged you online but it seems that you can't communicate without insults
Forget about comparing these 'seemingly attractive' specs
Are they durable?
How long do they last?
What is the benchmark?
Not the one that the phone with the specs will pack up unexpectedly with all these specs
These are some of the reasons why people keep going for brands like tecno and gionee etc
