Well, the truth is that several things might have happened
Depends on factors like whether it has been bought brand new or has been previously tampered with
My father has been using the C8 for about 20 months now and he was even the one that bought me my W3 after battling with Oppson for a long time
This was before I switched to L9
TheTega:
I bought my sister a Tecno Camon C8.. Oh my God, that phone hangs worse than a spoilt cd player, oh and I bought it from 3c hub with receipt. She always complained... Well she now uses a Xiaomi Redmi 4a and the experience is far far better, it's like NIGHT and DAY.. So clear.

If Tecno doesn't step up I won't even touch their phones with an electric pole

Your comment has changed my perception about aliexpress
Although I am still skeptical about buying devices online, I will keep that in mind when I want to make a purchase (although I dont need to buy a phone for now, I have two tecno phones)
Kudos to you
Godvilla:
There's more to our local service centres than you know.
Am a tech software and hardware engineer, I type from experience that's why u don't see me engage in arguments when it comes to topics like this. Because most people just type from assumptions or lack of in-dept 1st hand experience.
I can tell u that, I get more clients in my office than calcare, and when I don't have parts of their devices, I ordered them online and fix it. They get their devices within a week or less, compared to service centres When u'll be asked to wait for 3 weeks with no full assurance of coming back to see ur device fixed.
I have numerous clients who abandoned their innjoo devices in their service center due to lack of replacements, I even have a personal innjoo Max 2 plus in their service centre. I searched for the parts online to no avail hence my reason for taking it to their service center but it's been almost a year now.

Ordering for parts of devices online ain't that expensive as u may think.
Devices like Xiaomi and Co are built with quality materials, u don't really need to fear about damaged parts like u would with some devices sold solely in Nigeria.

Am always transparent when people come to me for advice/tips. If they need MTK devices, I recommend Infinix(Mostly) because of their battery life. Sometimes Tecno too.
But when they seek for true value for money, I advice them to go for a snapdragon device. Only if they can exercise patience because placing orders online takes about 1 to 2 weeks.
So my sister, there is absolutely nothing to fear about buying things online, just make a Lil homework and seek for help from experienced people.
Have a nice day my dear.

This is one of the first items I ordered from aliexpress on 01-04-17 that I recieved just now from the PO, remaing the xiaomi redmi note 4x,tempered glass and three more cases which has left China and they enroute to Nigeria as m typing this with the help of tracking numbers, before next week I should receive my order intact.

Pls this our mindset of ordering goods online especially from aliexpress is not good. Goods ordered online are more likely to reflect with the decreasing exchange rate than goods bought from home retailers that are only after your pocket not minding whether dollar is reducing or not,we Nigerians are ripping our selves off.

I was using Oppson and Nokia Lumia
The experiences made me skeptical about even purchasing unknown brands
That's why I went for my tecno which has lasted longer than my other phones
Tallesty1:
Which brand were using before you switched to Tecno?

Xiaomi marketers, shey you know that this is what you should be doing instead of pointlessly bashing other phones

Not the one that the phone with the specs will pack up unexpectedly with all these specs
These are some of the reasons why people keep going for brands like tecno and gionee etc

Any proofs of this insinuation from previous experience?

I was simply stating my experience and I did not bash any phone brand
See how I mention many phone brands, they are the ones I have used (and people around me have used) and can vouch for

Tallesty1:
My advise is for you to buy from reputable home based brands like tecno and the like.

I will have respectfully engaged you online but it seems that you can't communicate without insults
Where I insult you again nah, abi you dey find reason to bail out?
chicwoman:

Forget about comparing these 'seemingly attractive' specs
Are they durable?
More durable than tecno. Apart from personal experience, reputable international blogs speak good of them unlike Tecno
chicwoman:

How long do they last?
Longer than Tecno
chicwoman:

What is the benchmark?
You really don't want us to go there
chicwoman:

Re: What You Should Know About Buying Phones From Aliexpress by chicwoman(f): 4:09pm On Apr 21, 2017
Someone close to me was attracted to the specs of a phone online(won't mention the name) and it was ridiculously cheap
Bobo bought the phone only for it to just go blank three months later
Called their customer care and was told to ship the phone over there for repair
He went to local repairers and they couldn't repair it because they were not familiar with the make

My take on this issue is the same with cars,
Buy home based brands like toyota etc so that it can easily be repaired in case something happens.

Oppson is a failure.
Lumia is a Microsoft mobile and runs on windows so you really haven't used a good Android phone.

You have never used a flagship Android phone that's powered by snapdragon soc.

Come to think of it, calcare is a third party, what do they know?
1, out of thousands doesn't count. If u having an issue, as an intelligent person, find solution to it.
Even Samsung galaxy note 7 is nowhere to be found today.

You know what I mean na
You can get toyota parts better in Nigeria
Ask people who are familiar with cars to explain
Tecno, infinix etc are all mainstream brands in Nigeria and it is easy to get replacement parts for it

Xiaomi marketers na wa o
You people really need to change your marketing strategy from insults to real digital marketing
You can't even come up with real online engagement to bring people to your side
Exhibiting such hate online will not bring customers for you
I will still not buy your phone
