Mountain of Fire and Miracles FC coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, believes Super Eagles duo of Victor Moses and Wilfred Ndidi have been fantastic for Chelsea and Leicester City respectively this seaso, but understands why both Nigerians were not named in the PFA all-star team, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.


The Professional Footballers Association on Thursday named the PFA Team of the Season which consisted of four Chelsea and four Tottenham Hotspur players.
The list also has a Liverpool, Manchester United and an Everton player on it.

"I think Victor Moses and Wilfred Ndidi have done a good job for their clubs so far. But perhaps you could say there are players who deserved it more," Ilechukwu told Completesportsnigeria.com.


"Moses is not a natural defender. He was converted to a wing-back at Chelsea by Antonio Conte, while Ndidi only joined Leicester City in January. The season began in August 2016.

"Politics is everywhere. I may not talk or argue much about Ndidi, but Moses is supposed to be among them because he has been one of Chelsea's best players this season. But I'm sure they can make such a team in the near future especially Ndidi."


Arsenal's duo of Alexis Sanchez and Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic were conspicuously missing from the lineup despite their huge roles at their clubs.

Sanchez has scored 19 Premier League goals while
Ibrahimovic has scored 28 goals in his maiden season in England.

I know the gap has closed a bit but the 3-4-3 formation should have been used for the team of the year and Victor Moses should be on this list all jokes aside. He along with Alonso Have changed football. Rightt now Barca and Arsenal use the 3-4-3 and Victor Moses is a main part of that.

The first penalty was very soft. The IU player just tumbled with minimum contact.

Even the second handball can be debated. According to the Fifa rule book on handball:
Did the hand move towards the ball? was it an unexpected ball?

However, I can see how a referee can give both.

Excellent officiating. That 2nd penalty, the hand ball, could have gone unnoticed by so many refs.

I don't seem to understand ur last statement, but both calls can be given or overlooked depending on the nature of the ref in question. both are penalties based on the normal popular rules of football, u don't handle the ball in the box and u don't push or pull ur opponent in the box, anyway both are soft but they are still penalties that aren't too controversial, it's not supposed to generate the kind of rants that 3sc made after the game.

I am saying that depending on the referee, both calls can be given or overlooked. Or one given and the other overlooked.

With penalties, there is a level of subjectivity sometimes.

Look at the handball, by the letter of the law, that can be looked at as ball to hand.

I don't agree with interviewing coaches right after games. They should have a couple minutes to clear their head. Football is all about passion and people tend to say the wrong things when their juices are still flowing and we have to remember that our coaches do not have replays to watch for the most part so they might come out and abuse a ref when he got the call right.

How can you give an example of an off form awoniyi or are you saying awoniyi s form would have been better if he was on the bench than when he is playing.

I gave you Dos Santos to show the whole leaving talk is not a guarantee. It is as simple as that. There is more to the mechanics of success. Just as Mbappe and co. are learning and playing, others like Moratta were on the bench and still produced quality when they got a run.

It is easy to say Pogba did well when he played but keep neglecting the fact that he was learning without regular time at the top level of Manchester United.
