sugah: Ha ha ha ... the cost will make you very respectful. Lol! ..the sweet potato na the whole house go follow chop am. I only buy jar/ pouch food for travelling, days out and emergencies. Very essential when travelling the convenience is super. The bottle or pouch ones are better as you can just give the flight attendants to pop in hot water for you. All those flat bowl ones dont work too well in my opinion. |

jazzyjazz: Could be an ear infection. It may not be serious just making him uncomfortable or it's just nothing. Just watch out for fever no matter how little it may be. Some ear infections occur without fever. I remember you once mentioned you breastfeed him while lying down. This causes ear infection in babies especially if not done properly. If you must breastfeed your baby while lying down, make sure you prop the head up with your hand. The head must be higher than the body. Maybe you shouldn't feed him while lying down for a while till you figure out what is making him uncomfortable. |

jazzyjazz: I breastfed my children while lying down sometimes and I had no issues with ear infection. I know some school of thought disagree with the fact that it can cause ear infections but I only made that suggestion based on some real moms experiences on baby center whose kids had reoccurring ear infections and what their paediatrician told them. I also heard that if you are not carrying your baby properly while bottle feeding, it can cause ear infections. 1 Like

Lol, doh. When my LO cries like that it's usually gas, rubbing hands on head and face and kicking his feet. Once he farts like twice he falls asleep Meanwhile he hasn't pooed in 2 days oh, no discomfort, he's eating and playing normally, enough wet diapers and farts just no poo...he's 9 weeks, is that normal? Cc sabi mamas jazzyjazz: |

CyberEmpress I don't know oh, it depends on what you're trying to achieve and the kind of spacing you want. From what I gather from the post, it seems your DH won't like condoms. Me I settled for Implanon cos it's what I was most comfortable with. If you don't like hormones, maybe copper coil. I suggest you go to the PHC nearest to you for counseling on FP options 1 Like |

hunniesuzie:If he is exclusively breastfed its normal. My son has gone as much as 4 days without pooing. The gas is as a result of what you eat. I think milk and beans may be the culprits. |

This one I am seeing boiled apples, boiled carrot isorait Jazzyjazz, hope the side he is pulling isn't the side he always lie down on, check his head and be sure there isnt a depression on that side as a result of constant lying on same side. Wet the hair so that the hair won't obstruct your view of the shape of his head. |

maradelkitchen:Exercise and eating right. That's all you can do. But before you do exercises, make sure that you are not suffering from Diastasis Recti. This condition is simply the separation of ab muscles when you were pregnant to accomodate the baby. A lot of people don't know this and all they notice is that even after the baby is 2years old, their belly still looks 5 or 6 months pregnant. I had it (I asked my doctor, and he said I have a minor one. I also checked myself). Mine was 4 fingers wide before I started doing dedicated Diastasis Recti exercises to correct it (I also go to the gym and do normal exercises) and when I checked like 2 days ago, I could barely fit in two fingers. One last thing. STAY AWAY FROM CRUNCHES!!!! People tend to think doing crunches will help cut belly fat. Yes it might, but doing crunches with diastasis will only worsen the situation by making the Ab Gap wider. There's tons of info online. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

CyberEmpress Well, You have to choose one mode of contraceptive.... if you are scared of iud, impalon and the pill. Na abstinence and condom remain. Each has its own pros and cons. Abstinence is not an option. You have to discuss with hubby if condoms are the way to go if you dont want any hormonal interference or the invasiveness of iud insertion. If you really know your cycle, you can use condoms at your fertile times and go commando when you are in your infertile phase..... and hope for the best. Please leave your mum and mil out of the matter. Because whatever method you choose, when you are ready to take in again if it is not happening immediately, there will be plenty side comments. If you use birth control they will say it is the cause, if you no use, they will say it is because you waited too long after the first one. You cant win! I know they love you and in their own way want the best for you m but Dont give family members unneccesary torchlight into your sex / married life. It is between your hubby and yourself. How long are you guys intending to wait till you try for another baby will also inform your decision on contraceptives/birth control. The pill is the easiest to stop as you do not need any appointment to take it out. And though it may take a while for your body to adjust, there are millions of women who take in the day after they stop the pill. Book an appointment with a family planning clinic and get all the facts. Then decide with your hubby what works best for you both. He may be more understanding than you think. 3 Likes |

sugah:Alphahandmaiden is right Not all of them are laced with preservatives. I give my son Earth's Best Cereal and bottled purees and they're organic and with no genetically engineered ingredients. I try to give him home-made food (he eats pretty much all the Nigerian food we eat in the house) while I am home, but as I leave home by 6:30am and don't get back until 6pm, my hands are tied..wetin man go do? . I really wish I could make his food from scratch for him to eat all day tho. 1 Like |

enque: 4-6months is fine. As long as baby has good neck control and is a sitter. I prefer my ogi plain.... All those add add always make them purge sometimes. Ogi well prepared from scratch is already very nutritious so all I add is Formula. I reserve the add add for other meals. 1 Like |
