Rojo and Zlatan out for the rest of the season. We have only 3 strikers in the squad now in Rashford, Rooney and also Martial as an emergency option. Unfortunately there is no striker in the reserves that can be fast tracked like Rashford last season. Centre back is even worse. We have only Bailly fit and with his kamikaze styles we have to fast and pray that nothing happens to him also. Blind, Darmian and even Tuanzebe have to step up. Also Mourinho has to give minutes to Fosu Mensah |

Ander Herrera was following Eden Hazard up & down last weekend, but it's a SHAME that he couldn't follow him to the EPL team of the season! |

lekkie073: When he returns he would be fat and become slower. He will still be here next season though. He will be our new Rooney, playing back up role. No team will buy him now. |

The injuries came at a time we needed everyone fit. Luke Shaw will have his time now. He will compensate for Blind's lack of height and aerial ability. Funso Mensah should be our first back to Bailly and Blind. We have to pray that no one gets injured again. Old age is old age. Ibrahimovic injured because he was pushing it harder than what his body can accommodate. He jumping very high with all his strength trying to help win the game. May be we can rush Smalling back. I don't know his return date. 1 Like |

SetrakusRa:There's no way we will lose to City especially with the static Ibra out...City like Chelsea won't be able to deal with the movement and pace we will parade upfront. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 9:54am On Apr 22, 2017 |
elampiro: Fosu is not a central defender Tuanzebe is. Fosu should be rb or defensive midfield option bu5 we have cover there. I see one of jones and Smalling being rushed back. You're right about how ibra got his injury. Plus he was already very tired. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 9:59am On Apr 22, 2017 |
elampiro:His injury has nothing to do with his age, he landed awkwardly and that's it, similar to Zouma's injury |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by AdisaOwala: 9:59am On Apr 22, 2017 |
patrickmuf: Mourihno would most likely set the team up to counter attack & I wouldn't blame him if it pans out that way - City would most definitely hug possession in any game at the etihad. IMO, the only way we could stand a chance of getting anything outta that game would be for us to score 1st, soak up more pressure and hope to consolidate on the lead whenever we get to break forward. If City should score 1st ehn, that game don cast be that oh |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by AdisaOwala: 10:02am On Apr 22, 2017 |
patrickmuf: Exactly.... That injury coulda happened to any player...even a basketball or Volleyball professional regardless of age. 1 Like |

AdisaOwala:Well, we just have to hope, I reckon it's because we scored first we were able to play our game against Chelsea. However, if the lads show the same determination as they did against City, anything is possible |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SetrakusRa(m): 10:10am On Apr 22, 2017 |
patrickmuf: static ibra? Just because of Rashford's impressive display against Chelshit and Anderlecht, he's already above ibra. A striker on his debut season already has 28 goals. We never had such in the last 3 seasons. Some are already calling it a blessing in disguise. We're without are top hitman and it'll pull us back sometimes this season whether we like it or not. 3 Likes |

AdisaOwala: It's also more likely to occur due to fatigue. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by AdisaOwala: 10:51am On Apr 22, 2017 |
MRTA7: TBH, this is the part I am find hard to understand.. If anything, a "fatigued" player wouldn't even be able to jump, let alone jumping so high and landing awkwardly |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 11:18am On Apr 22, 2017 |
SetrakusRa:Na wa o! Why is it so difficult for some of us to understand a post, I have defended Ibra here severally but in this case (Match against City where you have a Kompany who is not very mobile together with Otamendi and Jones who are equally slow) I only suggested it's better to have a mobile and more pacy Rashford to Ibra who is more static and covers less ground but you choose to interpret it that I meant Rashford was better...Na real wa! |

POGBA IS PREMIER LEAGUE'S BEST PASSER Paul Pogba has completed more passes than any other Premier League player this season, after overtaking Liverpool's Jordan Henderson with a masterful display against Chelsea. Following the 2-0 win at Old Trafford, the Frenchman has now made 2,071 passes to Henderson's 2,057, and has averaged 74 per match since re-joining the Reds from Juventus last summer. Of Pogba's many passes, an impressive 156 have been accurate long balls, with the midfielder also providing 38 crosses and 26 through-balls for the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford. The France international is also comfortably leading the Europa League chart and is one of two United players at the top end of the domestic list; Ander Herrera currently sits fifth with 1,853 passes, just behind Chelsea duo N'Golo Kante (1,899) and Cesar Azpilicueta (2,028), plus Henderson. For the Video Clip I think we are not being FAIR with Pogba's Criticism here. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Features/2017/Apr/Paul-Pogba-tops-passing-charts-at-home-and-abroad.aspx 1 Like 1 Share |
