All this one na nonsense talk. Did they know what was going to happe?
They were constantly nagging thier husbands not to watch football and am guessing that made the man leave the house.
You cant tell a man not to watch football. It was an accident not that the women were right or something.

What kind of construction is that one
The best thing couple can do is to like what each other likes. If the man is man u, the woman should be arsenal fan. Then they will watch matches at home

Some of the victims have the cable TV at home, they only choose to watch in d midst of fellow noise makers. I hate addiction to football.
You hate addiction to football when you don't watch football. Simple Logic.

R I P TO THE DEAD...if i had any idea this country is such a mess as this i would have been faraway from this hell when i had the opportunity long time ago...now its more difficult to fly out...i am all regrets now because i actually worked at the embassy and distributed visa forms to those leaving the country while i pride myself on being fine at home...meanwhile i had unhindered access to the consular general everyday...MOST TIMES we do not know what a great opportunity we have and how transient it really is until it all evaporated before our very eyes...PLS MAKE GOOD OF YOUR OPPORTUNITY ESPECIALLY FOR GOOD...pls i do not mean you should steal because you are opportuned to have access...i am sure good people understand my point.

Brother, there is still time for you to revisit that old contact and connections you had. and i am also interested in case you find your way out pls. thanks

Its called passion... Its like you calling those who lost their lives in d north, during a bomb explosion in church MORONS, for going to church, despite the security situation there..

Them getting electrocuted is something they never saw coming... Its too late to play the blame game...

If only cable tv was affordable for all in naija.
If only there was constant power in the country.

Even if it was...
It's more fun watching in a group
And this wasn't the first time they'd gone there...
Though the owner of the place needs to be disciplined
It was just an unfortunate event

Try to understand the message, For Goodness sake ... football viewing centre built with metal roofing sheets under a high tension? Just like someone keeping 25 litres of petrol in his kitchen for 5 months.
I'm also into football viewing centre biz.

You called them morons, which is what didnt go down well with me.. That was why I used the example of d church too. At least they knew boko haram are busy terrorizing the state but they still went to church... I thought my church in maiduguri was d most secured, till we found two bombs there... Dropped by a female usher...
Moral of the whole story is dat death can come at anytime.. Either u put ur viewing center under high tension or not....

I'm a diehard Chelsea fan, sometimes I don't eat whenever my team lost a match...

BUT

I felt relieved of football addiction when I heard about the people that were bomb/killed in jos during one football match years ago

I can't remember when last I goto the viewing centre

rip to the victims, may God console their families

I know that feel.. Its better lets play well ND lose, than play rubbish and still lose.. Eg, ManU vs Chelsea undecided

Does the bible concur with what you wrote?

Eccl 9:11-12, Job 34:10-11, James 1:13-15

Note that Jesus almost got killed by a storm. If Jesus did not have supernatural powers, he and disciples would have been goners.(Mark 4:35-41)

Bad things just happen. They are not determined.

Bible even talks of people dying before their time (Eccl 7:16)

U beta not be a stubborn somebori... wat is nonsense talk der na? Men shld learn how to listen to their wives sometimes bcs u dnt kno wat they see, Nor be everything be Nag Nag Nag.... Men learn how to listen to ur wife,gf,sister, mother, daughter. I kno some Men that hav lost their lives bcs they refused to listen!!! Anywayz it has already happened, may their gentle souls Rest In Peace!!!

Also, let us learn how to listen to our inner spirit, God has given us a spirit to guide us, let us all heed to dat inner voice, it is the Holy Spirit telling u what to do. Imagine if that Chelsea fan had not obeyed his inner voice, he wld hav joined them too... Let us all learn from this, May God help us all and help us not to be stubborn IJN,AMEN!!!

Anambra state govt should plz assist the family of the victims with atleast 1millions each so as to curtail the hardship which their families may face due to the absence of their bread winners.

I disagree. In a more ideal environment where things are done according to standard and welfare of the citizens, things like this just dont happen. Tankers don't just kill people or fall off the bridge, etc.
Our shabby way of doing things has got us here. Lack of maintenance culture, no value for human life, greed, corruption, cutting corners...this is it.

It is very sad.

Although I think folks who are addicted to European soccer league are losers and shouldn't be taken seriously.
