We Nigerians don't have no sense of nature or wildlife conservation. It's a shame that almost every fauna we stumble upon,is either for food or for sale. It's past time we began to think and act green.

FYI, I've been in your shoes before. I've had the opportunity of keeping this exact chameleon (Chameleo gracilis) as a pet. But I acted with common sense. I wouldn't have catered for it as it would itself in its natural habitat. I let it go after having a memorable moment and selfies with it. I can post photos if you don't believe me.

please act responsibly. Let this poor chameleon go!

not really, but I've seen like 20 of them changing colors at same time... wildfire cuz dem out of their home... instead of running for safety like other animals and insects are doing..they were just changing color, reflecting fire color..... it was a thing of beauty to behold though.

they're kinda slogish in nature

Nice one,you seem very reasonable for an every day Nigerian. You might be able to keep it as a pet if you devote time to find out what makes it tick. They are very lovely creatures that are subject of grosteque superstition in most Nigerian cultures.
