1. Does this state I have been granted visa?

2. Which preferred insurance company can I use

3. Since my blocked account I may not access it till after two weeks how much should I hold in hand for rent, feeding and transportation?

4. How much does it cost in naira for a ticket to Germany ( my state is northwestaphilia)

Hi!! Congratulations. Your Visa is approved.
You may contact any of the insurance companies. IGI , Mansard, mutual benefits, etc. Tell them you need a 3 months travel visa. It will all be done in minutes. Price ranges between them all but they are all under 20k for 3 months insurance.

Can't say you should take a particular amount but take as much as you can afford. It's for your own good. Rent, Transportation, Semester fee and feeding for few days. Depends on what you can afford. The higher the better.

Check wakanow. My flight to Frankfurt via Turkish airline is 190k. I'm not sure if a direct international flight goes to NRW, it's possible you go through Frankfurt too. Check your school website for direction for international students.

Oh! Print that mail along, it's on it you should indicate your travel date.
Cheers.

Hello All, I wanted to get my visa and be sure before putting this out there. You do not have to get a travel insurance from an insurance company here in Nigeria before you get your visa. You need an insurance from an insurance provider in Germany before you can enroll, same insurance is acceptable by the embassy here in Nigeria. All you have to do is to contact which ever company you want to use over there via email and explain what you need, they will send the forms to you via email, which you fill out and send back, after a day or two they will will send an insurance confirmation to you. This confirmation is accepted by the embassy here. For payments, you can fill your blocked account details and give them a debit instruction or like me you can wait till you get to Germany before paying. I used a sponsorship letter so I do not have an account yet and payment is through direct debit, so when I get to Germany, I will open an account and give them the debit instruction. Also, it might be better to contact you school and ask if they have a preferred insurance company.

For your prepaid envelop and with complaints about DHL, i didn't really pay any attention to the one I got since it was for a local transaction but checking now I see it is Red Star Express. I dropped my passport on the 11th, my visa was issued on the 12th as written on the passport and they brought my package today around 10am, so i guess it is preferable to the 1 week wait of DHL.

hello, please can you clarify on this. I made some research into about the travel health insurance issued by german insurance companies. it is called incoming insurance and it only covers you from the date of your arrival to the date you enroll in your school, then the statutory insurance plan takes over. I don't think a school would enroll you with a travel insurance. meaning the amount you paid on it would still be wasted because you still have to pay for the statutory insurance from your blocked account. I might be wrong though, So anyone who knows the assured way this thing works can pls enlighten me.

Hi,

When the school says I should send the original copy of my application form alongside other certified documents, does it mean it must all be colour printouts ? I have booked an appointment date for certification though.

You're correct the travel insurance cannot be used in lieu of the health insurance required for enrollment.

It's okay. I'm actually currently trying to apply myself and I'm sure the documents will be the basics like the data page of your passport etc. Just go there their website via the link I previously sent, I'm sure you'll find all the necessary info there.

As hadassaheke rightly said. It won't. I believe certification mainly is to ascertain the documents you presented for admission purpose is not FAKE.
@hadassaheke and Instructor001, thanks for the feedback. I'm grateful.

Hi guys, please I need advice on a friend's situation. My friend got a Schengen Visa which starts from 14th May 2017.

However his flight is on the 13th of May (flight take off is around 11:45pm 13th May but will land on the 14th of May) and not 14th of May as written on the Visa.

Although I know his Visa is valid at the Point of Entry, will he have issues at the Lagos Airport which is his departure point since he'll be departing on the 13th and not 14th as stated on his visa?

He will be disallowed by the airline. but better still let him contact the airline as soon as he can for clarification and opinion.

Hi guys in Germany,

in respect of the blocked account (Fintiba or DB), is there any monthly interest accruing to the balance in the blocked account or is it charges only?
saw on the fintiba website administrative charge of €4.90/month. how much is the administrative charge per month for Deutsche bank?
in terms of widespread of branches, Sutor or DB?

thanks
