izzou:Granted, bad leadership and financial recklessness is a factor. But the North has many local govt areas, much more than the South. This makes them to receive twice (and thrice) as much federal allocation than the South. Kano: 44 Katsina: 34 ... Use your tongue to count your teeth! Do the math and stop amplifying your political ignorance and self-hatred. 3 Likes |

EdCure: Apart from Kano, which I know is a giant, which northern state has a higher allocation than Bayelsa. The funds were specifically for salaries. So don't give us the story of they receive twice or thrice. If you don't really have any way to criticize my opinion without playing victim, look for someone else to quote abeg 1 Like |

With the way the Nigerian proletariat has been and is still being treated,I still can't help it but wonder how we haven't plunged into a mass uprising the magnitude of the Arab spring or the French and October revolutions(Russia). The masses have been fed stone for bread and. 15 months unpaid salaries is a massive sin crying out to the heavens for justice. 1 Like |

A quick reminder to the haters of Enugu State. Enugu state has the largest landmass in Igboland. The state civil service is the most organized in Igboland. Enugu state have always been home to prominent Igbo men and women e.g Owelle Nnamdi Azikiwe, Ikemba Odumegwu Ojukwu, Aninefungwu Christain Onoh, Eze N'Ukpo, Hyde Onuaguluchi, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu. Enugu state has the potential to power all the South Eastern and South states with electricity from its coal deposit. Enugu state is the home to Enugu Rangers International...the most popular football club in Igboland!! Enugu City is Igboland's Berlin and Paris combined. Enugu bu isi mmiri Anigbo!!! 4 Likes |

Abia is owing workers heavily. The funny thing is that whenever issues like this crop up the defenders of this ruthless government would quickly come up with excuses such as the governor is fighting legal battle with the money and all that. I really wonder if the governor is normal if he can give more than 50 billion as bribe to the judges while her workers die of hunger and infrastructures decay. 3 Likes 1 Share |

izzou:I'm not holding a brief for any governor. But what if they have a backlog of financial obligations and contractual commitments to meet and fulfil? Is a state made solely of civil servants? Like I said earlier, you may be right in some of your assertions. But making a comparative analysis between the north and South, and blaming the South for the fallout from this failed arrangement is very unfair to the people and governments of southern Nigeria. 0b10010011: Mumu, what the North doesn't receive in state allocation as per derivation, it recieves thrice through the rigged Local Government System. I didn't expect an unlettered, poorly evolved bonehead like you to know that. 2 Likes |

Nightshift: Enugu is loved by most Igbos, young and old, educated and not so educated. The few haters if truth be told are few misguided and insecure Anambra people. I have never come across an Imo, Abia, Ebonyi or Anioma person who talks negatively about Enugu state. It's always village Anambra boys that migrated to Enugu at some point, but got pissed off when Enugu state was created. To many other Nigerians(Yoruba, Hausa and SS people) Enugu and Anambra are still one state. We are so intertwined that I do not see any reason whatsoever for the animosity by a few Anambra citizens. 3 Likes |

I ve said it repeatedly that d set of goats in this God forsaken nation are the governors and National Assembly members. Statr governors have no reason to owe salaries. They get monthly allocations, generate revenues and some do get grants. A state like Bayelsa that gets 13% derivation in addition should even have extra cash and small population and as such small labour force. Because some of d National assmbly members were governors or some aspire to be governors that is why they wud never make laws to kill corruption rather they pamper corruption. If not tell me why someone who embezzle billions wud get mere 2 years jail term cos they dont want to shoot themselves in the foot. |
