A little too early to rule Ghana out don't you think? They may bounce back.... And even Holland haven't been having the best of times in their soccer.... they are building a new generation... they missed the last euros and may miss the next WC if they don't get their acts together.... safarigirl: 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd:yeah, I know Holland is looking shaky now for the WC, hence my comment on Ghana not offering better. They are looking shaky as well I don't see what Ghana has in store that can boost their chances, they reached their peak in 2010 and are currently going through a rough patch that could last till 2020. Too many old legs are in that team |

KANTÉ IS TRULY PREMIER LEAGUE’S BEST, ADMITS VICTOR MOSES By Shina Oludare The Nigeria international claims the Frenchman deserved to emerge as PFA Players' Player of the Year Chelsea ’s Victor Moses claims the announcement of N'Golo Kanté as the PFA Players' Player of the Year was truly deserved. The Frenchman beat teammate Eden Hazard and Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the coveted prize following a brilliant debut season at Stamford Bridge. The 26-year-old has played 31 of the Blues’ 32 games in the Premier League so far this season, and could yet inspire Antonio Conte’s men to the English Premier League title with six matches to go. And the Nigerian who has equally enjoyed a brilliant season is in no doubt that the former Leicester City star has been the best. Congratulations @nglkante on winning the PFA Player of the Year award. Well deserved and it's a pleasure playing with you mate 5:04 PM - 24 Apr 2017 780 2,751Victor Moses ''Congratulations N'Golo Kanté on winning the PFA Player of the Year award. Well deserved and it's a pleasure playing with you mate,'' Moses tweetted. Conte’s side who breezed past Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 to reach the English FA final continue their chase for the English topflight diadem against Southampton on Tuesday. They lead the log with 75 points from 32 games – four points ahead of closest challenger, Spurs. Till 2020? Chisos!! Looooollll.... take am easy naa.... lol But Ghana needs a reboot shaa... a positive and solid re-boot... they have a new coach now in Kwesi Appiah and I wonder what magic he will work this time as this will be his third stint (I think?) with the black stars..... amazing that the side that conquered the world at U-20 level led by Dede Ayew in 2009 plus the players that joined them after the tournament to form a crack team that took the world at the 2010 WC have never conquered Africa.... but have only been nearly men.... So sad for Ghana really.... hope they get it right again. safarigirl: |

Icon4s: If what the technical committee said is any thing to go by, Isaac Success may not make it. I do not know who will have to go to make way for Aluko betweem Ahmed Musa and Isaac Success. Criteria:- Fitness and Current form Olajire said that the current selection process of players into the Eagles has become more stringent as Rohr is looking out for players that are 100 per cent fit and who are playing regularly for their clubs. Olajire, who said that the NFF has charged Rohr to pick players for the epic encounter based on current form devoid of sentiment, added that the players picked would be sent letters of invitation immediately to avoid any anomalies that might occur when the camp opens. Kano Pillars Sack Coach Kadiri Ikhana! By James Agberebi: Nigeria Professional Football League club Kano Pillars have sacked Kadiri Ikhana as their coach in his second spell with the team, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. Pillars made the announcement on Sunday night via their verified Twitter handle. The decision to sack Ikhana was made after Pillars’ 3-1 loss to champions Rangers in a matchday 9 NPFL rescheduled game at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday. “Kadiri Ikhana has been relieved from duties as Technical Adviser by the management of Kano Pillars FC,” Pillars wrote onTwitter. Pillars suffered their fourth straight loss against Rangers, their fifth defeat in their last six games, hence Ikhana’s dismissal. The defeat leaves Pillars 12th in the league table on 24 points, 10 points adrift of leaders Plateau United. In 2008 in his first spell, Ikhana led Pillars to their first ever Nigerian league title. www.completesportsnigeria.com/kano-pillars-sack-coach-kadiri-ikhana/ |

TheGoodJoe: It's not by age. Zidane is a rookie coach but see how he lashed the legendary Ancelotti and has been bossing the league and CL. Or who is the small boy? I don't rate Rodgers. Celtic is not such a good judge. The competition in Scotland is poo. I would have taken him seriously if he broke records with Celtic at the Champions League. Bournemouth is a fantastic team and the experience he will have playing such an attacking style in England against top teams will catapult him, if he does well. |

komekn: I will also support the reinstatement of Enyeama. It won't be weird if he returns because there is precedent for it. Recall that in 2005, France had to beg the likes of Zidane and Makelele to come out of retirement to rescue the team from their then floundering WC qualifying campaign. Of course, we all know that France eventually qualified for the 2006 WC, and Zidane played a starring role in the "Les Blues" march to the final. However, I worry about Ikeme's confidence once he recovers from injury. Would Rohr retain Enyeama as the number 1 goalie, or reinstate Ikeme to that position? |

The NFF has confirmed that the remaining two home WC qualifying matches against Cameroon on August 28, and Zambia on October 2, will be held at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo. Uyo would be the 3rd city in a row to host all home World Cup qualifying matches following Abuja (2010 WC campaign) and Calabar (2014 WC campaign). |

zicky: I wonder how we easily forget that no one chased enyeama out of the national team. If today we still love and respect Okocha, Kanu, Finidi and Odegbami, it is because of the good they did and not the evil. Vincent may be loved but may also be forgotten too soon. Many of us can come up in here and trash Oliseh about his man management skills but we are yet to even lead our immediate family, talk less of leading a whole neighborhood. This is clash of Egos and enyeama certainly believes he has a bigger ego giving how many years of service. If he chose to retire, then there is no issue of reinstatement. I once heard that he said he will rethink his decision if nigeria qualifies for the world cup. Ehen! Na so e be? Monkey don work, baboon go chop abi? Truth of life is nobody.... and i repeat Nobody is indispensable. He got his opportunity and thats why he can make all the noise. Has he stopped to think of what if he was overlooked? Now we dey form big boy. This is the problem with us in Nigeria. Inability to look someone in the eye and tell the truth and correct wrong doings. We allow sentiments to cloud reasoning. Which of us will be a coach and allow insubordination? Especially when younger players are watching. Well thats a story for another day 2 Likes |

As per enyeama's replacement, our problem has always been over reliance. If we had 3 to 4 equally gud players vying for his shirt, he wont be talking this cock and bull. In fact the reason he left was more of him feeling threatened. Okocha has left the scene since 2010 i think and there hasnt been a single replacement. No active scouting. Its always a man know man thing going on. How wont we be singing #bringbackvincent? If Oliseh didnt come up with Ikeme, did we know of him before? Thank God for social media and nairalanders. Many names I see in here, I have never heard of them. Many of whome may never even get to be called up. Thats to tell you that it is a priviledge to even be called into Super Eagles. |

joseph1013: Don't mind TheGoodJoe. He is fond of twisting his points to suit his arguments. He calls Howe a small boy to Rodgers yet he does not respect the place of age in football. Later twisting it that it was from the technical point of view. Thanks for helping out with the Zidane example. TheGoodJoe, Zidane is a small boy to Rodgers too right? Celtic that will not make top 10 if they compete in England. 1 Like |

Breeze don blow foul yanch don show. NFF take ya time ooooooo. How NFF Made Nigeria Lose Dele Alli To England – Ex England International Reveals April 24, 2017 Nigeria 26AE1058-FE75-46DE-9736-68EC87584589-9922-00000452F70C267F Former Wimbledon FC captain John Fashanu says the Nigeria Football Federation should be blamed over Nigeria’s inability to lure Dele Alli to play for the Super Eagles instead of the Three Lions of England. Dele Alli joined Tottenham Hotspurs two year ago from MK Dons, a team Fashanu has strong links with and the teenager is now proving his worth in his first season at White Hart Lane and now an England international. Fashanu in a chat with owngoalnigeria.com. revealed he could have been playing for Nigeria as he made contact with the teenager during his loan spell at MK Dons but got zero support from the NFF in trying to woo him. “I used my connections at the team to get through to him (Alli) and we spoke at length but he request we meet his dad as he was just 17 then and too young to make such a decision” He told owngoalnigeria. “However when I got through to the NFF as I need travel with them to have talks with his parents, nobody was willing to listen to me as they were back then involved in a power tussle, that was how we lost Alli to England”. Alli was a key player for England at the last European championship took place in France last year. Michael James http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/882614498?-18946:4882:3 |

Icon4s: I do not know how you missed it the first time when I clearly quoted you or are you bound at making wrong meanings of what I say. When I said Eddie Howe is a small boy to Rodgers, it has nothing to do with age but in depth knowledge of tactics. Please get it. Steve Bruce is older than Brendan Rodgers but tactically a small boy to Rodgers. Howe is a small boy to Rodgers tactically. 1 Like |

My Super Op Oga.... abeg free Chief Icon4s.... He is still the arch-guardian of Experience oooo..... this Aluko matter I no wan really talk shaa..... but I do rate the dude. Whatever that is making Chief Icon4s, Oga Experience himself, not sound too enthusiastic about Aluko's chances with our team may be surprisingly well founded but I personally feel Aluko will bring further depth and a few added qualities to that role.... he is a fine player and have matured beyond the player who rescued us against South Africa or played in the EPL. All the same.... We have good and fantastic talents in the role already and Aluko's addition will be to bring further depth. Let Rohr work..... he sees all these players and I am sure he is aware of Aluko.... one player I wanna see given a chance with time is Kenny Otigba... he may be in turkey but he is still a class act. Hey Egbon Forgiveness... which club wan sign Solanke sef? I dey hear Liverpool rumors and many other rumors.... tell that dude to hot up fast.... coz Tammy Abraham no dey smile at all And Osimhen biko.... plss no more injuries... start showing people what you got on this higher level mehn!!!
