Greetings for the day. I officially represent DomainKing.NG on Nairaland. We are coming back online.

Over the past few weeks, our website was unavailable due to maintenance and other issues.

Some of the clients would had not been able to buy and renew their services. But, now our website is online and all the services are available except .ng domain registration.

We are really sorry for inconvenience you all had to face during this time due to our website being off-line. We have tried to resolve all the pending queries and have been processing refunds to all those who had not received the service for which they had paid.

We are working hard to come back strong and realize our motto to provide domain and hosting services to our clients at an affordable price.

We also want to thank all the well-wishers who have supported us in any manner during this phase of downtime. We are glad that you all kept your faith in us and we assure you all that we will not let you down.

We want to inform you that now, DomainKing.NG is functional and you can place new order for Domain Registration & Webhosting.

Please note that, currently we are not receiving any new order for .NG domains (.com.ng , org.ng etc. ).

But, you will be able to register all other domain extensions provided by us that include .Com .Net .Org and .Biz etc.

The service for .ng domain registration is temporarily not available but we will start the service again once things have been sorted out.

We also want to inform you that, during the time our website was offline, we have tried to resolve all the support and billing inquiries via our email. We are also providing clients with refund to whom services were not delivered.

By any chance, if anyone have not been able to contact us then we request them to please send us an email now. You can email us at support@DomainKing.NG and our support will get back to you as soon as possible.

For all the existing clients: Our Platform is functional and you can manage your domain and hosting on your own. If anyone is facing issues then they can contact us by sending a mail across to support@DomainKing.NG.

We will soon issue an official statement with all the details and clarifications for issues that happened on our website.

I am still sad that my website was deleted because I cannot renew my hosting account during the period your website domainking was down. It's not my fault that my hosting account was due for renewal at a time when your website was down and I can't login to renew it. You could have suspended automatic deletion of unrenewed accounts during this period. That unfortunate incident caused me a major financial loss because it was for an important client of mine. I have raised the ticket and I have been made to realise that nothing can be done to recover my website. It's gone forever. Even Google cache didn't do any good.

You sent me a reminder mail quite alright to renew the account but I cannot login to renew anything. What I was saying is that you could have suspended automatic website deletion for those who could not renew their account during your downtime. If your domainking website was up and running normally, I would have easily renewed my account even before your reminder email. Accept that you did wrong by deleting websites that cannot be renewed during your downtime.

I have contacted your support and nothing could be done to recover my website. My point is that you should have put all accounts on hold and not terminate any account during your downtime. Yet you refuse to acknowledge this error on your part.

As automatic account termination service is enable on server, the expired hosting account is automatically terminated after the defined period.

"automatic account termination service is enabled on server" that should be on a normal day when your website is up and running. What of when your domainking is offline and one is unable to renew.

Admit it, you're wrong not to disable automatic deletion of unrenewed accounts during your downtime. It's common courtesy and corporate integrity to apologize when you have committed an error. That error cost me a valuable customer.

You don't need to mention, doing what is right at the right time is quite necessary in our everyday life, your issue here issue here issue very understandable, you didn't request for refund or to pay you for the loss, but to simply let them know what they are supposed to do when they are facing downtime, they fail to admit they fact that they were wrong and to apologize for your loss...

I understand what it is like, to loose a Web resources which might have taken you years and time to build..

Have once loosed my 1st website from a shared vps hosting. It's really very painful, especially to start over.

We totally understand how important a website's data is for any user. And I too would be very frustrated if I lose my data because of not being able to renew my services.

But I hope you understand that the hosting account was auto-terminated because the hosting account was not renewed, even though our system had sent renewal reminders. Our support was also available for all issues.

Our system on the server on which Lanre316 was hosted is provisioned to auto-terminate accounts within 7 days if the service is not renewed.

We are currently working with Lanre316 to find a resolution for him. We will make sure that Lanre316 gets the best resolution to this problem.

Now, I'm very much disappointed when I saw lanre316 comment here, 1st reason been that I understand what it is like to loose a Web resources/Data, and 2nd reason, because domainking is my best registrar, I couldn't believe it at 1st until I saw your reply.

Well, you guys should take your time and find the best resolution for his data loss, it's quite unbearable, I can testify to this... I am sure that you can understand our situation as our services were abused and we were unable to handle support and billing queries for few weeks.

Please note that, when you had placed an order for domain and hosting for first time in last year, at that time the price of .com domain was N3000/yr and Civilian Hosting plan was N1600/yr.

So, you had paid N4600 for .com domain and Civilian Hosting together.

But, we had to revise our domain and hosting prices in October 2016 when NAIRA became very week as compared to USD. You were sent an price revision mail on 17-Oct-2016.

So, you had paid N4600 for .com domain and Civilian Hosting together.

But, we had to revise our domain and hosting prices in October 2016 when NAIRA became very week as compared to USD. You were sent an price revision mail on 17-Oct-2016.

Who told you I got my domain last year? You better get your fact straight.
When I renewed my subscription last year, I got a single bill for both subscriptions.
And you said, you reviewed your prices, did you send any notification to that effect?
So unprofessional.
For like 2 months I was thinking one bill as usual, amidst the thousands of remainder I was getting with THE SAME FIGURE, I picked one and pay. Only to hear, 'April fool' after payment.
You know people will think twice before paying if you had put 3+3=6 on the bill. So you make them pay, before pointing out the second 3, so the customer is forced to pay without evaluating total price since he/she already paid part, and If the customer doesn't pay the second bill, it is still a win win, for you.
You don't do business with deception
Try and be plain, those that will pay will still pay.

Since on 14 of february, I paid a hosting plan and am yet to see my blog online. I won't say much o, you guys better do the necessary thing.
