Please anyone ever processed transcript from Olabisi Onabanjo university OOU? I tried using etx-ng and the cost is 92,000naira. Please anyone tried processing from school directly? If yes kindly share contact of who can be of help.

If you're using WES, I strongly suggest you fax them your certificate, wait for them to let you know it has been sent to osu, visit osu and then have them respond to the email. That's all, you don't even need your transcript.
My husband did his that way and his verification is complete.

Till this moment, the transcript has not been sent. We just wasted 50k on that crappy school.

If you're using IQAS though, you need the transcript. Sorry, I don't have a contact.

OOU transcript costs N50,000 plus N1,000 for alumni. I processed it directly from school but I had travel down there to sort it out even though my contact still assisted me with follow-up. I can speak with my contacts there to see if they would willing to help but I suggest you make out time to visit if possible.

Are you using WES or IQAS? Based on tollu's post, that may determine your next course of action.

Hello House,

Please confirm what rate the CIC guys use to calculate if we have reached the benchmark as regards POF?

For example, 15,143CAD should be N3,411,445.55, right?

Cc @vcole, @dupsyhoo, @Ehrnie , @40manlappy , @Beem4cupid

It is expected that they would use the prevailing official rate. Try xe.com, oanda.com or use the rate published on CBN's website.

Hi Good morning i have been following this thread for some time now. I have a similar question with regard to your response.in my own case she is not my biological daughter. She has been with me for the past 4yrs. As we know in the Nigerian system we dont do the formal process. She was practically given to me by the parents when i was in need of a help. Now in the case of the Journey, what do you advice we do. Please i need your advice. All the guru's in the house.

In this case, I think you need to adopt her legally. You will have to talk to a lawyer about proper adoption process, as the parents will need to sign her off to you.

Hi Guys,

Please indulge my request, I'm new on this thread. I know the answer might be somewhere but it's taking a lot of time to read through.

Is this IELTS result good enough for Canadian Federal express skilled worker prog?
Listening 7.5, Reading 7.5, Writing 7 and Speaking 8

If not, which do I have to work on?

Also, are professional certifications like ACCA considered while checking Canada's equivalent educational level? A friend told me it's equivalent to Masters, how true is this?

I'd appreciate candid and swift response.
Thank you

Hello,
Your score is good but it is preferable to have a minimum of '8' in the Listening part to boost your CRS score.

Concerning ACCA, WES evaluates it as an equivalent to a canadian BSC degree but I think if you have a BSC already then combining it with ACCA will give you points for 2 or more degrees but NOT as an equivalent to masters.

***The gurus in the house will add to what I have said ***

thanks for the clarification. I already have a BSC.

With an upward bump in your IELTS Listening scores( From 7 to 8 ) your scores increase from 407 to 465 (Assuming you are single)
So,
You can either wait for the next draw(maybe tomorrow or next week) and hope the scores drop from 415 to 407

Or call for a remark of your IELTS (IF your result is not more than 2 weeks old and you are sure your 'Listening' could increase from 7.5 to 8 )

OR rewrite IELTS and make sure you get minimum 8777 in your LRWS (Listening is the game changer)

OR Get a PNP (Last resort).

P.S: Start your ECA for your ACCA and BSc yesterday!

perks:

I don't think you can return it just after u ve made ur submission. The reasons are as follows:

1. CIC will verify at a time u can't tell.

2. There has been cases where just before PPR u get a request for updated statements.

3. There has been cases where at point of entry (upon landing in Canada) the CIC officer will request for it, although this is rare but not impossible and they still ve d right to determine dat u r inadmissible at dat point.

So my advice is to leave it there ooo. Even after u receive the visa. After booking your flight to leave finally, u can print d statements like two days to ur take off date. Then u can return it.

As always, my seniors kindly confirm if dis is d best option.

So true, you can be asked for updated POF with the way dollar and naira is behaving.

I was asked for mine, and given 30 days to submit, thankfully, it was a salary account, and more money had accrued into it.

Initial POF was the salary account and a FD I had for about two years, I just reprinted the statement and for the FD, it spanned for three years, and got PPR within two weeks.

I know of people that got rejected cos of this reason, CIC Would scrutinize your documents, and asking for updated POF is like the norm, they would even tell you to explain any recent lodgement, and mind you, they can go to any end.

Just be safe, I printed my SOA a day before I left Nigeria, because you never know what you would get at the POE.

Hello, I just calculated using your details(age, ielts result, 2 or more certificates and work experience) though I chose single and I got 407 but assuming you scored '8' in listening, your points would have been 465. So you can see the difference is really much.

By the way, if you cannot read all the pages then try and read page 0. That is the summary of the whole process BUT if you want to really know a LOT about the whole process then I will advice you to try and go through the pages.

Thanks Miella. I have started reading through.

I didn't add any thing, there was more money in the account, it was a salary account, so just reprinted the statement of account.

I think they reviewed the POF within the time I applied, and when I applied, USD was still 150, but had started rising.

Advice is keep the money in the POF Account, and keep building it up, at the end, it is still your money.

Oga/Madam,

The point is not fixed, the best we do is predict/pray/hope smiley . The last draw had the lowest score for ITA at 415 (cutoff). A number of people are in Canada through EE but might not be readily available to recall their scores/points. Kindly read and digest this thread from page 0. Thank you!
