I agree with your 1st point particularly with Zlatan and pogba. Valencia has atleast been getting a break here and there.

I don't think we have a choice but to play those 3 in the middle. A little worried about Blind in defence though.

Not in general game play, technique or quality or game play but when it comes to ticking tactical boxes.
When games become a chess match what Herrera, Carrick and Fellaini bring to the team and our plans is clear, Pogba not so much. He is more of a freelancer than the others. My opinion though.

But when we want to game plan tactically especially with Mourinho Fellaini and Herrera are unique.
Our last match the way Fellaini was used as an extra CB to stop their aerial balls or in other matches where he is used in opposition box to win long balls or cause confusion.
Herrera in terms of pressing, interceptions, tackling and like we saw recently finding and pocketing a hidden player is also unique.
In a game where we need possession and probing patiently at the opposition Carrick is the best we have.
In the various tactical set ups Mourinho would usually employ these guys have unique functions that others can't replicate as well. Pogba IMO does not. That does not take away from the fact that technically he is the best of them.
I hope with these few points I have managed to convince but not confuse you that farmers are more important than lawyers.
