Should He Quit The University And Start Blogging? by Essentials1(m): 8:33am On Apr 29, 2017
Hello Guys

This is the question a guy who is supposed to return to school tomorrow asked me... Now this guy has crazy blogging ideas, he talks like blogging is a business and about being a brand..

I normally look at his ideas as mostly talk like most things in Nigeria are, but I when this guy was given a laptop he built over 25,000 fanbase in just 1 month of blogging.

Now, this guy does not want to just be a blogger, but a known figure through blogging.. (just think of kim kardashian... no talent, but she is a known figure)

But, he has to return to school, a place where it will be harder for him to produce good results through blogging and that is if he can find money to subscriber and most importantly LIGHT (there is no light over there).

Should he give up his education and go into blogging?

To me he has a bright future in blogging. Because he achieved what most bloggers wouldn't in 6 months in just a month and he is not just stopping there..

Guys, Please drop your thoughts..

Any rude / insultive comments will be reported to the mods immmediately

I started blogging since I was in S.S.3. I had mentors, foreign bloggers actualy, mostly Americans. I knew the likes of them all were well educated. I finally gained admission in 2012, I didn't quit blogging really, I barely had time, In 2013, I became known even in my department, for my geeky ideas. Now, I'm a graduate, I make a decent earnings monthly from the internet, more than any company could pay me.

Should he give up his education and go into blogging?

Education is a stepping stone, how can an uneducated person blog to the core?? I'm not surprised most bloggers fabricate lies here and there. Quitting his education for blogging is like the most stupid thing!

My school fees was over 100k, I paid myself for the last 2 years in school, it wasn't the knowledge of blogging I had before gaining admission, rather the one I had in school, if your friend quits his education, yeah, he might be successful for a short period of time, but it'd get to a stage where his education is required in blogging, that'd be the beginning of his fall...

Lady I said this

According to what he told me going to school means he will have to drop his laptop for 2 months.. He does not have enough money to buy a generator, or any means to purchase subscription.

Because if he were to quit school and blog, then he would have to go for predegree and get into 200 level, starting from next year

The guy doesn't have adsense and is not interested in getting one.... and his long term plan is to go through a pre degree next year and get back to school... While this year will give him time to establish the blog...

I don't know what kind of human being you are in real life... But you must be a terrible one...

There is a question there and the fact that you commented means you are interested in this case... So all you can do is share your experience and not relate it with the person's experience..

Unbelievable!!!

Hi, I think you've got your words jumbled up and stuff... Regards to the emboldened, the word schooling (or certificate) would be most appropriate. He's having an education in Blogging and other Internet matters. He can quit schooling if it limits him cos what would he get from school anyways? An A4 sized paper with coloured ink.

Shikena!

Told you education is the stepping stone, it wouldn't be good enough if you quit... but if you think you only need time to make money first, then schooling could hold, afterall i wouldn't be the one to foot the school fees.

You got my point now?
