Hello,

I would like to know how much the complete air conditioning system of a Toyota Corolla 2006 model is. Someone told me 70k and someone else quoted 50k.

I have spent almost 100k already fixing and patching the AC and it just works for a short time and then it stops again.

Well, are you replacing only Compressor, and refilling gas or you're doing a complete AC over haul?

Please i have the same problem with my corolla 2006.but the AC guy claimed that i only need to change my compressor after i have spent over 25k working on the leakages,gasing,flushing etc

Request for Uv dye to be put into your system. This will help detect point of leakage(s).
Use of guage when filling up with refrigerant is important too this will help confirm the right amount is filled...

I was told I need to change the whole system. Previously, I refilled gas on many occasions, did the flushing, changed compressor, etc and it would work for a while and stop. Now they are saying I need to change the whole system at once.

This is exactly what I went through.

Rather than waste hard earned cash, and you'd keep going round circles, why not locate a well tooled HVAC diagnostic centre, they run a proper scan, do proper diagnosis using modern tools, dyes and UV lights and et al, to run thru the whole system and do a neat job, so you'd have rest of mind?

I'm not into AC repairs.

Well, they did not use any tool at all. It was just the 'Kazeem' approach.

Unfortunately, I went to quite a few of them and they provided several 'solutions' which eventually failed.

And lots of money wasted.

For peace of mind and long term solution go to a workshop with the right tools and skill set within your state or city before spending more money.
