On Klitschko, 11th round and it is over!

Well done Josh!
Wow! Anthony Joshua, Omo Yorùbá àtàtà. It can always be Nigeria and others...Britons will definitely hijack this guy from us and call him their own cos he's done them proud. If the opposite happen, they'd say he's Nigerian, lol. Congrats bro

Did you see the tatto in his arm? He has map of Nigeria tatto in his body and you don't have anything to show you are Nigerian. He is more Nigerian than you.

Oga its not like that.He has been fighting for UK since. He even won Olympics gold in 2012. You know there are functional systems over there to help anyone to greatness, what do you think AJ would have become if he was born and raised in 9ja?

Nigeria-Born Anthony Joshua has defeated Wladimir Klitschko in the fight for the World Heavyweight Title..
He defeated him by TKO in the 11th Round to win the title...

After the fight, he had this to say,

"As I said, I'm not perfect but I'm trying. You leave your ego at the door and respect your opponent.
"Wladimir is a role model in and out of the ring.
"I'm a little bit emotional, because I know I've got doubters. But I dig deep. When you go to the trenches, you find out who you really are."

When asked who he would challenge next... He said,

"Tyson Fury, where you at baby?
"Come on, is that what you want to see? I enjoy fighting. I love fighting. Tyson Fury I know he has been talking a lot and wants to come back and compete
"I want to give 90,000 people another chance to come back and watch some boxing here,"

By the way, At the time of stoppage, the scorecards were as follows:
96-93 AJ
95-93 - AJ
95-93 - WK
WAIT First!!! Anthony Joshua was born in Nigeria?? Okay... Continue

You see now, if you were in serene environment now, you could have turned that igbo into some money making venture. AJ is going home with 15 million pounds tonight. Maybe it could have been you sef, but for ur yeye environment.

Algeria is finished na. Apart from Terrorism where do you hear about them?

How many Asians represent white people? name one prominent Asian representing Europe or America in anything?
Asians go to Europe and America to acquire knowledge and opportunities and go back home. But black people never think about home.

But at home they still get supports. Every Olympics our sport ministry's goal is to participate. No plans for the athletes, always fight on money, corruption.

I wish he fought for naija , but truth be told, he might not have succeeded if he did.

Read his biography, he is actually from Nigeria, Onitsha to be be precise. He is from the family of Odogwu IN umumya Lga. His dad, a Nigerian had some issues with his wife's brother who was a governor then so they had to separate.

His dad. a Nigerian sponsored his wife's brother throughout the election but the man disappointed him. That's a sum of 160 million dollars approximately.

Congrats to Anthony. He is lucky Vitali has retired. I remember how Samuel Peters rushed to beat Wladimir Klitscho and ended up being beaten blue black by Vitali. Anthony doesn't seem to have any major competitor in the ring again. Those dissing Samuel Peters seem to have forgotten that He fought in an era where the heavy weight division was populated with tough opponents like the Klitscho brothers, Oleg Maskev and the likes.

That is fear factor. George Weah went far representing Africa. diddier Drogba, Samuel peters and others.
We need to break barriers if we have the opportunities. many kenyans are winning Olympics while representing Africa.

Asians go to Europe and America to steal talent and opportunities then go back home. But our people never come back home except the deportees.

The welfare system in Europe and America is open to exploit. Take advantage of the system and go back home.
Winfred Zaha is now playing for Cote' D Ivoire after taking advantage of British welfare to grow and establish himself.

You are right. Wladimir Klitschko lost due to his old age even if is brother Vitali should step into the ring against Joshua, he will lose also. Thank God Anthony never fought him when he (Klitschko) was a young boxer.
Congrats to Anthony Joshua. This is your time.

Sorry for the disturbance, but can someone please enlighten me what's the meaning of TKO what's the difference with KO.

Congrats to Joshua

The era of the Klitschko brothers is over. Wladimir should just retire before small boys finish him with punches and spoil his records

You can read this.
A KO is the abbreviation of Knock Out. A knockout can occur when you’re hit and you go to the canvas and you’re not moving and the referee may either count to ten, or simply look at you and say, “He’s not getting up”, either way it’s a KO.

A TKO stands for technical knockout, this occurs when either a fighter is getting beat up on his feet and hasn’t responded to a good number of punches from his opponent, meaning he’s getting hit cleanly and he’s not throwing back, in which case the referee should step in and end the fight to save the fighter getting hit. He wasn’t knocked out or on the floor, but we say he was “Out on his feet”.

Thanks so much

Both can still be referred to as a Knockout right?
