After successfully reading from PG 1-18, These are my deductions so far.
Kenya is beautiful, as well as Nigeria, No doubt, With the little resources Kenya has got, it has a better development as compared to Nigeria. With the resources Nigeria has got, we ought to have moved past this stage that we are.
Development is all about basic amenities, such as stable electricity , good road, infrastructure,,water etc. which many parts of Nigeria seem to be lacking at the moment.
Imagine Bedlam experience of having to tip the security guys at the airport so as to avoid delay and other questions. This is very common in most of airports in my country ad this has to stop because it keeps painting a bad image about Nigeria.
Thanks for the picture and insight, at least I now have a few countries to visit.
For everyone reading , commenting,observing , I hail o and as for the internet muscle flexing individuals, stop the hatred, Learn something new by minimizing your ignorance.

I visited Nigeria for the first time last May 2016. One of my very close friend's dad passed away and I wanted to pay my final respects. After the funeral, I was taken for a few tours.

For the first time I ate real Nigerian food "no offense to my BFF's overseas who have always entertained me with Ogbono, Banga, Eba, Efo " There was just something different about eating the same foods in Nigeria that felt wholesome sorry girlies. I'm totally in love with Kpomo and Eba !!!

I spend 2 weeks both in Lagos and Benin. As a fellow African when you visit another African country people just assume you are from there. People just spoke to me in different dialects assuming I understood what they were saying (my friends kept laughing and correcting their relatives saying I was not even from Nigeria.) What I'm trying to say is that we are all African, nobody saw me as any different than the next person. Bottom line is I was given a very warm welcome, I was shown a lot of love and I enjoyed myself totally.

When I returned to my adopted home, everybody was excitedly waiting to hear first hand about my trip. Everybody commented on my smooth face. What is in the Nigerian Water though My skin was glowing like a lit bulb, my face to be precise. I have mild acne and my breakouts cleared within a week, my face was so smooth. That is one of the things I will never forget about that trip. Thank goodness for the pictures I took. I find myself reminiscing because I'm back to ground zero.

When you get an opportunity to visit a different African country, always go with an open mind. That's the only way you'll enjoy the experience while you are there

don't be blind please! More than half of those on my plane where other Africans. Do you remember when Dora Akinyuli was Minister of communications ? She was promoting tourism. Please go and cry to the government. Not me.

By the way, I don't usually talk much online..... I am a Nigerian and as a kid my dad used to take us on tours to different tourist centers in Nigeria, I doubt if there's anyone I haven't been to except if its new.. Right now im in Kenya as a student and u can boldly say Kenya is a beautiful place with pleasant people.. Of course there are slums just like there are slums everywhere..

Those saying we should promote Nigeria.... We would be lying to ourselves if we say Nigeria has achieved anything in the tourism sector.. Kenya is not halfway as rich as Nigeria yet their currency has more value, 24/7 electricity, constant water supply, affordable standard of living and very good education sector......

I have nothing against Nigeria. I love my country with passion but I refuse to close my eyes and pretend Nigeria is where it is supposed to be... Let the Government do something about it, then we would proudly celebrate them...

I actually enjoyed this thread, now im contemplating a visit to Nairobi. Iv always thought its gonn be a beautiful place..Actually there are alot of countries in Africa thats worthy of your time. Iv been to zimbabwe and Tanzania and i was blown off

U see about which place is more beautiful than which depends on ur aesthetic appreciation. Iv been to at least 20 states in Nigeria and each time i visit one, i see something quite diff and fascinating. When people say lasgidi is not beautiful, i be like "you serious".

Kenyas wildlife is just so pretty, the city is cool in regards to the pics im seeing. All African countries always have something to blow their visitors off. Go to Tanzania, southy, Egypt, and hell yeah..Morocco, been there briefly..
