Those people age are the reason the government comes at broad daylight o tell us everything is well in this country.

Ikr..... If we start praising the Government when theres nothing to praise.... How will people know there are places out there that are way better than Nigeria allowing them to be hungry for change.... I personally think Nigeria should be ashamed of herself of at over 50 small countries like Kenya, Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania have better tourism, electricity, airlines etc than she does..... We keep saying Nigeria is beautiful bla bla black, no one is saying otherwise but no be beauty we wan chop na.... We need substance... Why won't those countries disrespect us when we've given then nothing to be scared of.

School. People say the University of Nairobi is the best in East Africa.
No, Makerere University (Uganda) is the best and has always been ranked above the University of Nairobi.

You and many others must understand that each country has their selling points.

For kenya, they have utilised the opportunity of their wild life to create tourism attraction.

Nigeria is blessed with diversity in such a way that development spreads across the country.
Mention one geopolitical zone in Nigeria that does not have an attraction??

Lagos, economic capital of Africa is not for tourism, Abuja the Fct is not for economic activities but seat of government.
And it's far beyond Lagos and Abuja, what of Kaduna, Bauchi, Enugu, have you been to Calabar?? Have you been to Obudu?
Nigeria is a country where if you think you are a Nigerian and I take you just to another zone, you will doubt your citizenship weather you are still in the same country
or not

More reason why Nigeria should be ashamed of herself...... All this and we are still stagnant..... Dollar is still 400/1, good education is more expensive than building a mansion..... Let's stop praising what should be condemned

See them promoting their country but you will only see Nigerians saying nonsense about ours

Most Nigerians live all their lives without even knowing 10% of their country. All they know is Lagos and Abuja. over 75% of Nigerians don't even know the history of their country.

Nigeria is perhaps the most diverse country in Africa and that's where the beauty lies.
These Kenyans and half Nigerians in this thread are speaking out of their little knowledge of Nigeria.

Nigeria is beyond Lagos and Abuja, you guys should pls be updated about your country and stop disgracing yourselves because at the end it all falls back to you.
Let me take you round Nigeria and you will doubt your citizenship.

You guys ain't know nothing

Thats great!
I heard the word from my friend here in Nigeria.
The word is same as Girma in Hausa language
You mean the meaning is the same in Hausa language? If so, then there could be also other common words.

Iphones are overrated IMO. Most kenyans who own one are either well heeled and / or persons seeking status symbol. Even Mac pros belong to such folk. They are weak and not sturdy. Also accessories are not convenient stocked at shops. Android and windows based smartphones and laptops are king.

Exactly!

IPhones are over hyped.

I can afford to own one but choose not to.

There are better brands in the market.

My deductions...Nairobi has more Malls than the whole of Nigeria. I kid you not!

At a point, you'd think this is India because there are a lot of Indians, for the fact that they have "BANK OF INDIA" here should tell you a lot.

The best night clubs are the ones where Nigerian songs dominate.

Every Nigerian is often seen as a rich man or woman.

Most of those Indians are Kenyans by birth and speak Swahili fluently.

Nigerians are perceived to be rich by most black Africans, as a matter of fact the perception is not misplaced. Nigerians are poor because of bad governance which is encouraged by our collective silence of conspiracy. Rather than demand for accountability from our corrupt leaders, we would rather hail them and be satisfied with the crumbs from their tables.
Shame!

do they allow one on tourist visa to settle there or get a job legally and what if your visa has expired. can you still work there

will 400k be enough to get there

You better use your N400,000 to do buying and selling here in Nigeria than wasting it. You're too naive, you want to stay illegally in Kenya, I pity you.

Here is what some illegal immigrants go through:

which city in Nigeria are you talking about being comfortable to stay?@pidgin.Comfortable in what sense if i may ask?In power outages or unavailability of water?Insecurity or what.Look let's call a spade a spade!Nigeria is our country,no dispute about that but the truth be told.If we cannot boast of enjoying the basics of life like light, water, security and peace then it's not comfortable at all.I love Nigeria because we've got tough skin to bear any situation we may find ourselves but we are still lacking behind.I wept for naija when i visited some west african countries years back.

You have raised some valid points here.

During the two weeks I spent in Nairobi, I did not see a single generating set on the streets. Power was steady and security sure. Visit their banks to see how organised they run businesses. Kenyans employ mechanised farming, no wonder they export flowers on a daily basis to Europe. Kenya, even though a small country, is managing it's resources well.

Same cannot be said of Nigeria, the big brother of Africa!

Is it in the South where they think all northerners are Hausas and Muslims??
Or where they think the only developed city in Nigeria is Lagos and Abuja??
Every country has their challenges, it's an African thing not just Nigeria. You said it yourself you had to tip off the kenyan police officers $14 otherwise they send you back...Definition of corruption right at the door. You never even enter, dem don show you small colour.

Depends on what school you want.... Like for me I was in Daystar university studying nursing but I found out I don't really like nursing so I transfered to African Nazarene to study criminology.... Here in my school, the process Is not long at all, as long as you have good waec result, you get a photocopy, get it stamped at the Nigerian embassy and fill the registration form of 3500 ..... That's all...

And for tuition, for undergraduate courses, 3 credit hour unit is 15000ksh and 2 credit hours is 12000ksh.... I'm sure certificate programmes are way cheaper....

What course do you want to do? That way I'll be able to provide more information

You are right! Some sort of decency you can't see in Nigeria. Imagine a Safari park in the middle of the City!
That's why their tourism is booming. Nairobi Airport is more than 3 times bigger than MMIA. So much life is here.

That airport was constructed in the early sixties (1963 precisely, if my memory serves me right) and improved upon over time.

You can in your little way promote the beauty of Nigeria and stop waiting for some leaders to that for you. Start by being the change you want
