Reasons why I have chosen that way
1 admissions issues as related to medicine
2 passion for the biological science and science in general as related to biology and chemistry where analysis, computation, synthesis and other scientific activities are involved
3 Just like delsu biochem dpt
4 the essence of biochemistry or microbiology in medical and biol sci is tremendious
5 If I am not chanced to study Mbbs again bioch cert may prove useful cos I am considering to further my career abroad

See........ if you want a BMS, stick to it. If you want medicine, go for it now. What you do in A'levels is the same thing that will be done in 100 level. The same Physics, Chemistry and Biology. That's why you can skip 100 level after A'levels.
Concerning your interest in the BMS: you start doing them from your 200 level; Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. So, why not just go for medicine?
And about wanting to go further abroad, you can easily do that with CAMBRIDGE A'levels (I stated that earlier).
So you see, it all comes down to basically the same thing but going through the long path of BMS to MBBS........ Well..... 'Father Time' isn't patient, you know?
But like I stated before, I'm only making suggestions from my own little pool. The choice lies with you.

You really don't wanna be going through the long process except its something you just have to go tru... Because u didn't get med in the first place... Go for it now nd get it over with than unnecessarily prolonging the inevitable... Mind you getting admitted via direct entry isn't as easy as it seems you have bsc nd a level who graduated with you nd those Before you who didn't get admission initially to compete with nd its really hard. Like someone said earlier getting med via DE is like passing a camel through the needlehole. Have confidence nd chase ur dream if get put down try again... Just be smart about it. Mind you am speaking from experience DE Admissions aren't that easy to get..d

U re sure ghoon..
Now this Is My main fear.. Help me out..
Just finished my waec exam. Though I have another waec result which I wrote few years bk.. Buh I had 3C6, 1B2, 1C4.on my core subjects.
Now, should it be that one of my core subject is being seized this year by waec(just sayin incase, coz I wrote this years waec with high effort.. Xpectn just A's.. Buh incase the worst happens) i'll have to fall bk to my old one sitting waec, since I filled awaiting in my jamb..therefore scared I myt loose UI's admission even if I score 290 in jamb dis year..my problem now is nt jamb, since I believe in my self and God. (scored 280 last year though.) now, am doing prescience in unizik.. Should incase waec messes up (the way I explained above) my old waec + unizik prescience slot would be a fall bk to. Which might increase my chances also. My taste for UI is being limited by the uncertainty of waec. My fear is waec, since it dosnt come out before the time for change of institution given by jamb elapses. Coz, as for now.. Unizik is my first choice buh I prefer UI. What would u advise I do.. (that's if yu understand where an driving towards.)

FOR UI, SCORING SYSTEM TOOK THIS FORMAT LAST YEAR----------------for one sitting in o-level exam GRADES and SCORES----A1[6points] B2[5points] B3[4points] C4[3points] C5[2points] C6[1point]----to get your total point in o-level, sum up your grade for your five compulsory subject e.g maths phy eng chem. then you will get X divide X with 30 and multiply it with 50 i.e [x/30*50].....then for your jamb divide your utme score with 8. then add the two scores to get your aggregate!...FOR TWO SITTING[NOT ACCEPTED FOR MEDICINE STUDENT] divide the score gotten in the o-level process by 2...for ui medical aspirant medicine and surgery depertmental cut off mark was 76.75 for merit and 71 for ELDS!

Its ok buh highly competitive.
Out of about 2800 students doing the prescience programme, they'll pick the best 5 for medicine. We re on break now anyway. 2weeks break, upon which we would resume for 2nd half. Then exam which last for one week. Prescience offers 6 subject (Mths, eng physics, chemistry, biology and geo wild. "my way of Calln geography"wink upon which u'll pick 5 out of it (if u can do all 6 its still ok.) out of this 5 u chose, Mths n english are compulsory.. After the exam, if u pass above 40% in both maths n english, then they'll pick ur top best 4 subject in which u scored highest as ur total score.. Buh if u score below 40 in Mths and english, the two will be added to any two u scored highest in.. Summed up to be ur best 4. Same also wen u score below 40 in only Mths or only english, that, which u score below 40 in will be added to any three u score highest in...I.e mths and english play a vital role. Mode of exam is stritcly sub-objective.
Was I able to dessimate this info well?

I don't know why students are so Obsessed about the so called "prestigious" Universities when it comes to studying MBBS/BDS. I remember Lomaxx graduated from Uniuyo...the 'less' admired University in terms of Medicine, but the guy is a "geek" when it comes to the medical field.
MBBS in UI, UNILORIN, UNILAG, UNIBEN et al is the same in UDUSOK, ABU, UNIMAID, UNIPORT et al.
At the end they're all called Doctors. The making of a "GOOD DOC" is not proportional to the school, but to the student!

ABSOLUTLY CORRECT it pays studying MBBS in ansu or ebsu than eternal seeking of MBBS in ui unilag or uniben...so long as they are accredited by d mdcn!...perhaps all this less prestigious university has lower competition and provide good chances of getting admitted!

I'd disagree with you bro . . some schools have better medical facilities than the other, such school provides an enabling environment for the students making their reading less tasking and some schools also have more cadavers than the other . . theoretical knowledge and clinical practice differs from each other.
