Hmmm! A country where indigenes are treated like animals while non-indegenes are reaping the fruit of our labour and you still want me to be proud of Nigeria Believe me if there's no revolution now, Nigeria won't make amend, that positive change will never be realized. The cheating is really too much. 14 Likes 1 Share

The union and ministry of labour has so far disappointed Nigerians who behave as if things like this does not happen under their nose. This act is synonymous in almost all sectors in Nigeria where expatriates will be recruited to replace re trenched Nigerian staffs and it's not as if they want to contribute something more tangible to the sacked employees. These companies don't care wasting money on these expatriates at the expense of training Nigerian employees abroad which will cut cost and improve efficiency of operation. The management board of most organisations in Nigeria are bereft of idea and seriously daft. Imagine paying an expatriate $1,600 per day when you can pay a Nigerian employee $2,500 per month after he must have received the necessary through them abroad. Such a colossal waste. We waste too much resources in this country. |

ogobaby23: Madam read the post before commenting. The strike is in solidarity with their colleagues whom are occasionally being laid off and replaced with expatriates and flouting of agreements. |

ExxonMobil seem to be the most anti-Nigerian IOC operating in Nigeria. Their management seem to always be in the news for the wrong anti-Nigerian reason. You hardly hear these with Shell, Total, Agip etc... If they are tired of operating in Nigeria, they should sell their stakes to a serious stakeholder and leave. Unfortunately their share value has been on the decline and they are arguably not the biggest oil company anymore. Enough of the blatant slavery in the 21st century. 1 Like |
