MosesIgb: The whole of South South are Biafrans including some part of kogi n Delta, Google the existing map of Biafra b4 talking nonsense next time. Remember Biafra had existed b4 for over 2 n half years so everything is in place, Biafra is nt new it's a defunct state. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Possibility Of Biafra Surviving On Their Own by MosesIgb(m): 9:31am On May 03, 2017 |
divinelove:Remember Biafra was initially the Old Eastern region. It was spearheaded by an Igbo and assisted by other tribes in the Eastern region. But since the break of the Eastern region into many state, the unity was broken, thats why it's the south eastern state which is united by same ethnicity that are clamouring for Biafra. All other tribes that fought with the Igbos for Biafra during the civil war are presently not part of the agitation. What most south southern states are clamouring for is resource control not Biafra. 1 Like |

MosesIgb: Biafrans are known and already well defined territory, it's a defunct state not a new state so everything is already in existence from flag to map to currency everything - try n get some sense b4 going to the public domain. Biafra had once existed for 2 n half years as a sovereign state so everything is in place 3 Likes |

vic620: Hahaha!! I knew you useless jokers will go there. So because Gen. Phillip Effiong supported your "Biafran" cause, it automatically means that the rest of us did same? For every "Effiong" that supported Biafra, hundreds (if not thousands) of men and women joined the NIGERIAN ARMY 3rd Marine Commando Division. (3MCD) to flush you pests out of our lands. And we were soooooo good in kicking your parasitic a$$es out. One thing though: at least Gen. Effiong had the MANLY BALLS to end the madness/slaughter you started, while you "great" leader and co ran away to Ivory Coast with their MANGINAS. I suggest you jokers return your testicles back to your ancestors. What a bunch of loud mouth pvssies Oya NEXT! |

kingzizzy:You have the right to build a port at Onitsha and other places along the Niger and Imo River. But you can't come to the Niger Delta to dredge the water way of the Niger and Imo river within their territory thereby making your ports non functional. |
Re: Possibility Of Biafra Surviving On Their Own by kingzizzy: 6:26am On May 04, 2017 |
MosesIgb: You dont seem to get it. The River Niger and its tributaries do not belong to anyone, no matter whose lands it flows through. Dredging is not even necessary. A city like London has several River ports on the River thames. They just use barges to take out and bring in goods. One barge can carry hundreds of containers depending on its size. People make this mistake of thinking that it is necessary for Big ship to come to Sea ports, not true. Flat type barges can be sent to big ships on the high Sea to deliver or collect goods. Onitsha port can operate hundreds of barges if necessary just like London does. The only reason Onitsha has not done this is because there are other alternatives for now. We have full access to the Sea. There is a big difference between being landlocked and having access to the sea. 1 Like |

MosesIgb: These liepods won't ever agree to the truth. He's talking about London whereas London is a city of England and England isn't surrounded by other countries. What a wrong example. He should go ask landlocked countries like Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Lesotho, South Sudan, Chad, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, Central African Republic, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Uganda how far. |

Re: Possibility Of Biafra Surviving On Their Own by kingzizzy: 11:20am On May 04, 2017 |
Ekinematics: If you have nothing to say then go to sleep. I used London as an example of a place that is not by the coastline but has access to the Ocean through its River. Go and learn the difference between being landlocked and having access to the sea. Anambra, Imo and Abia maybe landlocked but all three have access to yhe sea via their Rivers that flow to ocean. |
Re: Possibility Of Biafra Surviving On Their Own by Nobody: 11:35am On May 04, 2017 |
kingzizzy: Let me expose you with another example, hoping you will comprehend. The Nile runs through Egypt down to Sudan, South Sudan and form Lake Albert and Lake Victoria. So from your logic this gives South Sudan access to the Mediterranean Sea? Or River Niger that runs from Guinea, passing through Mali, Niger and Empties into the Atlantic via the Niger Delta. Based on your logic Mali has access to the Atlantic. Na wah for una oo. Wise men from the east No city or village in SE has boundary with any Sea or Ocean. You must pay royalty to the Niger Delta before you can use our water ways. Tell me any river in the SE you claim has access to the Atlantic and I'll tell you where it passes before emptying itself into the atlantic. 1 Like |
Re: Possibility Of Biafra Surviving On Their Own by Nobody: 11:46am On May 04, 2017 |
kingzizzy: Or still you can go ask South Sudan the delima they face with Sudan on how to export their crude via the red sea. At a point they opted for Ethiopia. I know you don't know all these, so learn and stop spewing rubbish on nairaland. 1 Like |
Re: Possibility Of Biafra Surviving On Their Own by kingzizzy: 11:53am On May 04, 2017 |
Ekinematics: Yes, all of them are entitled to use the River for access to the Sea although it might not be practical for due to distance. However, Igbo land is close enough to the Sea to make it practical. Nobody owns the River Niger. If it could be owned, countries like Guinea, Mali and Benin would have been charging Nigeria for using part of the River to generate electricity since the River Niger flows through those countries before getting to Nigeria. Nobody owns the River Niger so no one can charge or restrict another on how it is used |
Re: Possibility Of Biafra Surviving On Their Own by Nobody: 12:11pm On May 04, 2017 |
kingzizzy: See your logic. Are you sure you are using your brain at all. A dam is different from transportation. Ships move dams don't. Nigerian dams on river niger will be heavily affected if any of those countries do anything on their part of River Niger. They can block the flow of River Niger if they so wish. Go read about what caused the flood in Rivers and Bayelsa states few years ago when cameroun released water from logbo dam which is in their own part of benue river. Since you said no one has right to his own water body. |
