I always appreciate your effort and opinions from the first thread. You have really helped a lot of people. I noticed people don't like the hard truth. Brandable do sell but takes time, just wondering how many of us can afford to hold a name for 10 years like the veterans. That's around $1000 on one name. It is about renewals. I believe a name without obvious end users and not keyword targeted are harder to sell.

I've been following this thread for a while now but haven't seen the need to say something until now... I'm glad our people are now going into domaining and seeing it as one of the next big things. I'm also a domainer and I've been doing this for a while now so I'll be happy to join the thread and also assist others, share knowledge and gain more knowledge as well. Kudos to the people who have been keeping the thread active and helping others, really nice of you guys.

One thing I noticed is the fact that most people here are spending more on Hand-regs, you can register a .COM domain for as cheap as $3.99 on DirectNIC at www.directnic.com . DirectNIC is a very good registrar with easy transfer and push of your names, cheap renewals etc I wrote my personal review and encounter with them on NamePros, a search on NP will bring that out and you can easily pay with Paypal, your Credit/Debit Card, Bitcoin etc at least Bitcoin is easier to get for those having issues with their Card and PayPal. I currently have about 30 domains with them alone, .COMs and few .XYZs

Also, you can keep a list of Hand-regs you'll like to register and get cheap deals of $1.69 per .COM domain when the MyDomain/Dotster/Netfirms deal is out so you can reg ASAP since the deal only last few days and sometimes, few hours. Hope this helps..!
