You are correct about Algeria, but weren't the educated Algerians allowed to live in the french areas? I think they were. The more franconized and westernized algerians were allowed in the capital city and many native algerians were taken to France too.
There was a great degree of intermarriage and acculturation, that is why you see the Tunisians, Algerians and Moroccans are far more westernized than their Libyan and Egyptian counterparts.

Birth rates decrease with education.
Core-northerners have high birth rates as well as high death rates.
In a democratic, religious and developing country like Nigeria it would be difficult to place any strict control on birth. You can only educate and enlighten the illiterate masses about it.

I'm now, visiting my parents home region(Amhara region) and you don't know how mountainous and beautiful the landscapes are. 70% of all Africa mountains are found in Ethiopia. Out of those, most of those mountains are found in Amhara region(Ethiopia highest mountain, Ras Deshen is also found here here in Amhara region). Almost everything you see here are green. Sometimes, the places are so high, that you will drive for a Kilo meter with clouds covering your car and every places. I will take you here one day. It's a must! It's an order! Lol

Kenya is country for Tourism, that's what they are known for. Anyway l knew very little about Kenya and East Africa as a whole, but now l have learnt about ICT sector and few other things as well. Prior to finding this, l only knew about the wildlife, tourist attraction and sportsmen who could run from sambisa forest all the way to Kaduna. But hey, we learn new things everyday.
