Even the south African mtn in Nigeria was given a very huge fine here by the government. A country in love with foreign influence would hardly do that especially during recession.

it's simple, Nigeria's GDP isn't just big because of Nigerians only but it's so because foreign investors also contributed a huge part to it.

For me, I think Nigerian GDP is really big because of the industriousness and 'i must succeed mentality' of most Nigerians who will never settle for less and will almost be willing to do anything to make ends meet.

We have began to retrace our steps since the fall of oil prices and reccession though.

But, talking about foreign investments, most of these foreign companies in Nigeria, don't they have branches in Ghana too?

My home state Plateau though are working on boosting production of locally made agricultural products and there was an exhibition of these products in the capital city Jos today. It's the same thing in most parts of Nigeria we are working on reviving the deccaying agricultural industry.

Population is also an advantage as well as disadvantage. Depends on how the leadership and the ruled choose to make the best of that population. I was watching NTA sports the other day and realise how good the Chinese were in all kind of sports. Just like their population, they seem to be everywhere, culture, Education, Sports, tourism, Technology,Medicine,Labour and man power.This is a country that even with its massive population, corrupt officials are severely dealt with, no sentiments. Nigeria population is useless as the only thing we are good at is spreading epidemic diseases around.

I'm now, visiting my parents home region(Amhara region) and you don't know how mountainous and beautiful the landscapes are. 70% of all Africa mountains are found in Ethiopia. Out of those, most of those mountains are found in Amhara region(Ethiopia highest mountain, Ras Deshen is also found here here in Amhara region). Almost everything you see here are green. Sometimes, the places are so high, that you will drive for a Kilo meter with clouds covering your car and every places. I will take you here one day. It's a must! It's an order! Lol

You are correct about Algeria, but weren't the educated Algerians allowed to live in the french areas? I think they were. The more franconized and westernized algerians were allowed in the capital city and many native algerians were taken to France too.
There was a great degree of intermarriage and acculturation, that is why you see the Tunisians, Algerians and Moroccans are far more westernized than their Libyan and Egyptian counterparts.

That's true, but I was told intermarriage rarely happened and that even if few were allowed in french spaces they were still heavily discriminated against.
