A construction worker earns 150 dollars in Algiers and 250 in some companies no cv or past experience required, just show enthusiasm and readiness to work that's all.
That's is suffering still.

Absolutely terrible

I have no words for this. We wonder why nigerians are scattered across the globe. Nobody wants to suffer in poverty. Person will work from 7am- 7pm and still recieve nothing. 50% of their income to transport. Hardly anything to enjoy. Its very sad.

The "thiefing" politicians are scared.

But when they turn around and see the oppressed "hailing and defending" them, they become emboldened.

Those thieves bear 10% of the blames. The mumu masses bear 90% blames. One can only be oppressed as much as he/she can endure. But the endurance of Nigerians has no limit. They think it is more noble to die while crossing sahara desert than die fighting for their rights.

Even when given the tools to fight, Nigerians fight against the wrong enemies. Instead of blowing up churches or pipelines, let Boko Haram and ND militants turn their anger against the political class and you will see Nigeria progress at a stealth rate.

So sad but true. you can only be a graduate to understand the situation on ground, it us porous and disgusting. Before last year I used to to think it is waste going to school because of the situation then. That's why it amazes me when some ladies here on Nairaland saying they can't marry someone who is earning more than 100k per month.

grin grin grin

Nah!!! We need a revolution. Total annihilation of the political class.

That wont help either because even the youths are not left out in this act of corruption...Elections at tertiary levels are rigged, money embezzled...what we need is total obliteration of the mindset of Nigerians about money....

What are the costs and standard of living vis-a-vis Nigeria?

Your gate man salary is the price of a typical house rent (monthly) in Tokyo, but what is his standard of living in Oman?
u cant expect it to be any thing compared to nigeria. U should know most of dis other countries welfare for average citizen is taken seriously
