God bless you all for all the valuable information. Please I need some clarifications. I had my first degree (BSc) in microbiology, then I worked in the bank for 6yrs but resigned in 2015. However, I had my MBA(management) in 2014 while still working. My job experience is related to the MBA, and I have never had an experience on my science first degree course. Can I apply in line with the banking experience even though it's in no way related to my Bsc. Also do I fall in the category of two or more certificates. Finally? is the 6yrs experience relevant for me even though it isnt related to my first degree. Please help a confused friend. |

Wow! @ Arcayo. Congrats, what a journey. You really love canny sha. Kept reapplying till it made senses. #thecanadiandream @ Superdoll You're good to go as your degree is irrelevant in the case of Canadian PR when compared with Australia. So your 6 years of banking service can be used to apply for occupations in that line. As for evaluation of certificates, I'm yet to have full understanding of that. Cheers 3 Likes |

@supedoll You are good to go by evaluating just your MBA which has higher points than "2 or more certificates". Don't bother yourself with the BSc. Please read the first few pages of this thread diligently for more insights. Cheers! @Fusion23, I sight you! How is it going? 2 Likes |

why is everyone skipping this post: Hello House, Please can someone who previously applied for FSW with a particular occupation (NOC1212) changes it to another one due to availability of the new occupation in PNP (NOC6235). Both functions are actually being performed by the person till date. Thank you @all: please assist |

omesanni: I assume that your old passports have expired and apparently no longer qualify as "valid travel document". Since your new passport does not have stamps, visa and markings, upload the biodata page of the passport only as expressedly requested by IRCC. You may wish to include in your LOE that passports that "carry" your travel history, visa refusals/rejections have expired. In any case, you would have to make reference to them while filling the travel history section of the eAPR. The above is what I would have done if faced with the scenario that you described. In my own case, I uploaded the biodata page and pages with visas and stamps/markings in my current passport only and provided the required travel history in the eAPR. cc: SlowlybtSurely, merrymum, Beem4cupid, Arcayo 2 Likes |

jimcollins136: In my humble opinion, you should be able to. Hope you will harmonize your EE profile with the PNP's. Nova Scotia? Think about it: the two NOCs are related just that 1212 (Financial Institution Branch Manager?) is in a supervisory capacity while 6235 (Financial Sales Representatives?) is not. If your employment reference can capture the main duties of the role as stipulated by the NOC, I think you should be fine. Please verify this diligently from IRCC's website before proceeding. Meanwhile, I don't think people are deliberately skipping your post. Isn't it better that they skip than give you incorrect information? @joyuzo: That sounds like the most practical thing to do now. All the best. |

40manlappy: Tnk u so much @40manlappy and @segunwamiri Pls if I am using my MBA, can I still claim 6yrs experience even though 5yrs of the experience is pre-MBA qualification. (Got MBA 2014, worked in the bank 2009 to 2015) I am worried if they recognise only post qualification experience |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 8:47am On May 07, 2017 |
superdoll: Yes, you can claim the work experience. Now, I can see where you are coming from. Canadian Express Entry is unlike Australian PR application in this respect Congrats @Dapt16. Please exit "ghost mode" and let us benefit from your experience and contributions. Wish you speedy PPR 2 Likes |

WES usually sends transcript back to the issuing institution to verify the authenticity of the transcript. You need to follow up with Uniport to get them to reply. Unilag usually replies by email and it doesn't cost a kobo but it's possible Uniport will rather use courier, in which case you'll have to pay for the courier services. bigbroda: 1 Like |

Hi, CIC can be so confusing and contradicting some times. On the instructions in my document checklist for proof of funds it says this If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must: list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months. In the excerpt above it says that the bank letter should provide the balances of the account for the last 6 months but on their site it says the average monthly balance. Below is the excerpt: The letter(s) must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include the applicant’s name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and email address), the account numbers, the date each account was opened and the current balance of each account as well as the average balance for the past six months. Now which one is it the balance or avergage balance. |

40manlappy: The annoying thing sometimes with this CIC folks is they say one thing on the site and expect different from applicants (though this is based on the individual VO). For example, they say upload only your educational certificates but I have read of cases that were refused because the applicant didn't also add his IELTS and ECA reports. Personally, I believe that the travel history is checked against the immigration stamps on our passports for consistency. What I did was to scan all the stamped pages in my old and new passports but added the bio data page of only my current passport. 5 Likes |

omesanni:Purpose of visit is attached to so many reasons only GCMS note can point you to the right one (if one provide his/her profile/documents submitted Gurus in the house can guess the possible reasons) " mine was because of my current position in my job PROJECT MANAGER going for construction project management it was clearly stated that The PA is already engaged in the proposed study in Canada'' i later explained it in my SOP that i have the experience but needed certification. Travel history is by the way most time.......i don't think they have ticked travel history as the only reasons for rejection of anyone's application b4 but they do tick only purpose of visit 2 Likes |
