oga GAZZUZZ pls my engine began to make some sound whenever i rev d car nd wen i took it to a mechanic he said d engine needs to b changed completely nd we checked d engine oil nd it has dried up.i bought anoda engine oil nd put in d car,thus d sound became abit beta but still makes noise as i rev.buh i noticed after about 4days again dat d engine oil has dried up...pls wat could b d possible problem or solution. if buying engine wuld b d nxt tin i wuld like to no d price in lagos...d car is a mazda 323....tanks

Is it normal for black smoke to be seen blowing outta tailpipe when the engine is highly revved? It steams(in cold weather/morning) when idle, or when moderately revved nothing is seen. But when the accelerator pedal is floored I see black. Please is this normal or some adjustment is required?

Hello Gazzuzz thanks for being helpful around here. I am yet to fix the a/c on my Camry 2007 since you told me not to let them put in Manuel compressor (I was left without choice though and used manual but it's safe to say I learnt my lesson and have had it disconnected until I can afford a new original automatic compressor)

Now the problem is this, my rpm gets to drop so bad even before my compressor was damaged and now that I don't use A/C anymore it still sucks cos the car still vibrate and the rpm drops to almost 550/600 while idle, Sometimes the car suddenly die while I am on the move and have to start it again.

I was told recently that my throttle body is the problem and I should change it, it's been cleaned and no changes, they tried to increase the rpm but it won't respond with a mechanic car scanner device. It goes up and come down again.

I need to know if I should try changing it as recommended and if yes should I buy a tokunbo throttle body or a new one?

type of vehicle? Engine specification? Coolant temp when noticed? How long had the engine run before revving to notice?

2011 Highlander.

Not sure of the engine spec you're asking, but it's a 6 cylinder engine.

Coolant temp. was normal.

Engine ran 10-15 mins before it was revved.

This is an impossible task remotely. Easy leaks to find are pipe leaks, O ring leaks and condenser leaks. The OEM compressor for that vehicle hardly leaks.
Now the hard leak to find is an evaporator leak(will require a dashboard pull)

When u connect the wire to it, the car goes off. So i think its bad. Will give it a shot. Thanks Boss

Oga Gazzuzz, please I need your technical decision on this my matter.
I packed my vehicle at the end of the day without any issue and the alternator belt was removed for change. After the belt change, it refuse to start after cranking to the extent of running down the battery. Scanning was done on the vehicle because check engine light illuminate, but no code was reported by scanner and even after clearing code from scanner, the check engine was still on. My finding on the matter is that ECU was suspected to be bad, please help to suggest what could be the problem because am preparing to buy another ECU. Vehicle is Nissan primera 2000 model with 1.8L engine.

GAZZUZZ:



do not be in a hurry to buy another engine ecu.

4 things must be involved for a car to start.
1. A spark
2. Air fuel mixture
3. Compression.
4. All in the right order (timing)

Verify the presence or absence of these 4 elements




I try to crank the engine with scanner connected, it gave a sound of starting but the idle was not okay though throttle pedal was pressed and hold during that time. later after trying several time, scanner gave a code of crankshaft sensor which was changed and scanner used to clear code but the check engine light still refuse to clear and there was no more code even when engine was crank to start yet no code again and engine refuse to start.

Oga GAZZUZZ, am I still to assume the ECU is okay? Do you think crankshaft or camshaft sensor can be the root of the problem even when scanner is not throwing code to them as suspect? Please help me suggest my next line of action.

I traveled for abt 4 months without putting on my Toyota venza V6 engine , on getting back i found out that when i put on the car , it takes a while ( about 1 min or more ) for the Green light that controls the AC to come on , and the AC doesn't come on until the green light shows , and my compressor is having a low pump even after refilling the GAS , not as cold as it used to be ...if the AC is scaled at 100% now it at 15-20% , not that ice cold it was ...
My power boot doesn't work and also side mirror control ..all stopped working ,
any advice and amount to fix all ?

Oga gazzuz, I hope I'm not derailing but its my sienna ooo . I've not being enjoying its ac for quite a while as many kazeems don put hand . My question is can I restore it to a near factory standard and if so, like how much should I be looking at . thanks

You don't just recharge refrigerant, you have to understand if it is the problem. You only recharge if there was a leak. You fix leak, vacuum, then recharge with the right quantity.

The mirrors and booth might be a fuse or a stuck relay.

Just drive to a qualified tech to get it fixed.

Detailed repair history?

If you want to return to Factory spec, very easy.

Replace compressor, condenser, pipes, expansion valve, evaporator grin
