Yes, but only on the higher parts. Most of the roads that will take you to Amhara region and few cities around in Amhara are found on the higher part of the mountains, so you can see the clouds horizontal and feel the fresh air.

Also the old nollywood( which was made for local viewing and had more of the witchcraft) was/is not popular among Nigerian youths.
But let me ask you, do you have beautiful Kenyan girls like Dillish of Tanzania from Big Brother Africa? From my observation only Ethiopian beauty comes close to that of Tanzania from East Africa but we do not see them regularly in BBA nor do we see their musical videos.

for polygamy , I don t know and never seen any polygamous couple, my great grandfather back to what I was told had several wifes, but from my grandparents and all the people that I know no polygamy, the polygamy is seen badly in the society and extremely rare in Algeria and maghreb .

We may have creative differences, but i shall appoint you the pointman on discussions centering on northern nigeria. I have alot of questions since i appreciate now how different it is from the rest of Nigeria.Also,am a curios person.

First , why is it not at par educationally? What factors lead people to eschew book learning?

Second, what brand of islam do they practice there? Is it a liberal, progressive one like in Malaysia, Maghreb or Turkey or is it education hating, women repressing, violent sort like in Saudi,Somalia or Pakistan ? ( I mention those countries since it is self evident )

because in algeria we had our (arab spring ) in 1990 , 20 years before the others , it was the same senario like egypt, syria now days, The people protested in the streets to claim the democracy was repressed then they obtained changes of law, Free elections have taken place islamist like egyptian morsi won the elections , they wanted to apply sharia and other obscurantist measures , the army intervened and stop them and it was the beginning of 10 bloody years of terrorism ! (200.000 algerians killed) and destroyed our economy and country

so for algerians , arab spring ?? no thanks , we have already seen this movie and lost a lot 20 years before others + thanks to the petrodollars the Algerian government redistributes wealth and the Algerians live better than most poeple in other countries of the region ( increase in wages , free housing distribution,infrastuctures, health education are free , subsidies, interest-free credit for young people ect ...so the claims were not like other countries . for morocco its a kingdom not a republic , so their king can easily change a 1st minister to calm poeple ,

Lol, l know you do not like his tone, but l think l understand why he speaks this way, because growing up in my family we saw Tanzanian ITV in our cable stations, which was widespread then but saw and knew very little of Kenya and Ethiopia except the sportsmen who ran. The first time l saw pictures of Nairobi on the internet( in 2008) while reading about Obama, l was stunned. I also read in a magazine some time after that on how Bill Gates enjoyed his time in Kenya, and also this thread has enlightened me as well and l hope to visit kenya someday, not as a refugee or drug dealer though, lol.

Our Habesha dance is called "Eskista". It's a form of dance that involves putting our arms on our shoulders and shake. So, we don't jump during Eskista. You must had seen some of the southern Ethiopians dance or the Protestants during praising God in their churches.
