Mamas abeg help. Can I use odomos or any other mosquito repellant for my 12 week old? I came back from work and whatever the creature is don chop chop all his hands. I'm figuring it came from my balcony and I can't keep him under net all day.

Babies start putting things in their mouth as they approach the three month mark. It's not necessarily teething it's usually part of their growth process. They start with their hands before moving to any other thing they can grab.
As per the restlessness he may be approaching a growth spurt no need for any medicine just feed him a little more that should help.

Thanks. We went to the hospital and he tested positive for infection.
The "Mouth thrush" only turned out to be milk residue, it should have occurred to me o cos he only started taking formula from the bottle the day before . IV learnt my lesson about self diagnosis
It's the infection that's making him not eat...we were given antibiotics and Bcomplex.

My doc now recommends the arm implant which I'm against cos I heard it causes weight gain.
Condom? Bleh!!!
Mentioned ocp to my doc and he said it'll fail and I'd get pregnant.
Now I'm seriously considering Billings method

Any success stories on billings method?

I got mine at Kupa early april, and I didn't have any of the 'side effects' Mr google mentioned. No unusually heavy period or crampings during menses. I come de wonder if the thing still dey there. ..

its possible that he is teething..my baby is doing DAT often these days, she scratches her face and want to put things in her mouth, it can also be DAT he is not satisfied after feeding, or he is feeling sleepy. cost my baby sometimes cry and put her hands in her mouth when she wants to sleep and wriggles her body, I'll even try to force her to eat, but after a while she will sleep off. so study him and see if he sleeps afterwards, don't give any drugs yet pls.

My one year and 2 months old (i.e. 14 months old) baby girl enrolled in creche today and i thibk she may have been fingered by the caretaker. As we returned from the creche, i bathed her and as i raised her leg to diaper her i noticed the vaginal opening appeared wider and red with a flappy skin below. I tried to touch her to know whether she feels pain around but nothing really. But my mind hasn't been at rest since. Should i tell her dad? Should i take her to hospital tomorrow. I am just confused.

Please take her to the hospital and surely do inform ur hubby.
Get your facts and make sure you report the crèche to the police.

OmG! Is the caretaker a male or female? I hope it's not true. I don't think they will want to risk trying that just the very day she registered. It looks big to me at the same time it could be the angle at which the picture is taken. It's taken too close to her vagina like a picture zoomed. You can take her to the hospital to ascertain your fears.

Over the counter pills.
The first time I was feeling very nauseous (vomited a few times), and I was feeling 'kicks in my stomach. Did pregnancy test and scan and the scan detected it was in my cervix.
Doc removed that one and put another one by himself this time, first was done by the nurses, on Monday last week. DH complained he was feeling the copper then I started having spotting, pains and burning sensation when I pee. Went in today and doc discovered it has expelled again.

Zingy please please please take your baby to the hospital first thing in the morning for checks. A mother's instinct is usually right but I hope it's not this time.

It's hard to prove medically. It could be a diaper rash gone very bad (yes, the genitals can get inflamed) or an infection. What you need to have at the back of your mind is: have you ever suspected this girl of odd behavior, has she done anything that made you uncomfortable (even though you brushed it off), how old is the Nanny, how old is your son, what was the time gap between the first time you noticed reddishness and yesterday, what is his reaction to the nanny and to people changing his diaper (is he throwing a screaming fit when she comes near every time or tries to take off his diaper, even young babies will push hands aside if they associate diaper changes with discomfort and abuse is uncomfortable). Those are stronger markers, combined with the medical tests. Not trying to say you're wrong but Drs have to look for bruising that is hard to explain. Sexual Abuse in children is mostly psychological, if it's fingering, it's hard to see physical signs.

I don't really want to write much on this here, but try take those questions I asked as a start. Perhaps it's best to search for another nanny too. Because if you saw that and your mind went straight to abuse, maybe your subconscious is telling you something.

In addition to the above, please take her to the hospital. Since you suspect insertion has taken place, the Dr can test for foreign bodies in the wrong place (there are certain bacteria and other markers that shouldn't be in that area, that are indications that someone inserted something in there). Depending on the results, mention me on this thread so we can decide the next steps.

Meanwhile, keep your baby at home until test results are back. I really nothing happened.

Made it only twice in my life.
1. For my bsc project.
2. Once for Moyo. Told my self I don't have this strength for this and just paid for it. It was waaaaay better than mine

3.30am my Princess arrived.
