My baby does this almost every night. How can they even figure out when someone is standing. Even if you are very tall and sitting, they would still cry until you stand. Fortunately if I feed her well then put her on my shoulder, stand and rub her back, 10 mins max she's knocked out and I go and dash her to my sis for the night and come and get her by 6am.

Is he still exclusively breastfed. These days when I give my baby formula, she keeps spitting it out until I get frustrated and whip out the breast.

It's instant filled and not full cream.
I think it's not bad in the nutritional content. The difference is simply in the taste. The instant filled milk has its fats replaced or reconstituted with neutral vegetable oil while the full cream milk is quite creamy with butterfat.

Thanks. We went to the hospital and he tested positive for infection.
The "Mouth thrush" only turned out to be milk residue, it should have occurred to me o cos he only started taking formula from the bottle the day before . IV learnt my lesson about self diagnosis
It's the infection that's making him not eat...we were given antibiotics and Bcomplex.

She's sleeping real deep sleep since after bathing and eating. I've slept my own, bathed and eaten and she's still sleeping.

I was always afraid of IUCD cos someone I know had ectopic pregnancy with it in. Everybody I know with the implant didn't gain weight so I went for that, I've had it for like 3 weeks and I'm losing weight sef (caveat, I've never had problems with weight gain so maybe that's a factor). I'm too lazy and absent minded to try Billings, they taught us during marriage class sef e enter one ear, ff the other one comot

Note: family planning is free in PHC, I almost fell into the trap and would've paid 20k in my hospital for the same implant if one good Samaritan nurse didn't advise me

So I had to take out my IUCD for the second time cos my body kept expelling it into my cervix.
My doc now recommends the arm implant which I'm against cos I heard it causes weight gain.
Condom? Bleh!!!
Mentioned ocp to my doc and he said it'll fail and I'd get pregnant.
Now I'm seriously considering Billings method

Any success stories on billings method?

so i got my breast pump from jumia today and i'm impressed.My fear is will it last but its working pefectly
I only pumped 50ml to test it, haven't sterilized it yet
Works fast maybe cos i lactate well
Its double pump with a usb cord, i connected to my power bank because we no get light

Please how will i sterilize? Won't Hot water melt the pipe

Giddyperson and Sansa you need to see how happy I am that your babies are spitting out the formula you gave them . Teambreastmilk only joor. Please express breastmilk in a bottle and keep for them so that when you want to rest somone else can feed them.
For babies being restless and not sleeping try and google swaddling it helps to calm them down. If it is hot where you are you can swaddle them with only their diaper on. Once they get to three months they sleep longer at night.

The only person I know​ that did the implant kept growing fat until she took it out and all the weight came off. And I was struggling to lose weight before I got pregnant, I don't want to add to the wahala

You are only meant to sterilize the items that comes in contact with milk.

Pls can one take postinor2 while breastfeeding exclusively? I read somewhere that u dnt have to breasfeed till after 36hrs nd i dnt know how true that is...I haven't been able to start calculating this cycle thing nd I'm not ready for another baby now biko...thanks

Funny thing is, he's still his normal playful self. The only sign to know something isn't alright with him is when he starts rejecting his food.

Any tips? This is week 2 and I'm still giving formular cuz I'm still not sure if she's getting enough breastmilk, tho the flow has remarkably increased from what it used to be in week 1.

For week 2 you are doing good. My son is 4 months when I express I get 120ml from both breast and you need to see him so chubby wit a small potbelly (pics attached). He was 4kg at birth but he is 8.5 kg now . As long as you are feeding on demand the baby will get enough .

the more u express, the more the milk flows, when i newly started to express, i don't use to get up to 60ml frm both breast, but when i was expressing every day, i can get 200ml from both breast within an hour, but nw DAT i am no longer expressing, it takes me time b4 i can even get 90 ml

My one year and 2 months old (i.e. 14 months old) baby girl enrolled in creche today and i thibk she may have been fingered by the caretaker. As we returned from the creche, i bathed her and as i raised her leg to diaper her i noticed the vaginal opening appeared wider and red with a flappy skin below. I tried to touch her to know whether she feels pain around but nothing really. But my mind hasn't been at rest since. Should i tell her dad? Should i take her to hospital tomorrow. I am just confused.
