1. Sorry about your condition. 2. The VO PROBABLY does not believe a budget of $15,000 is sufficient. 3. Where is your cousin based? 4. The VO PROBABLY feels you might resort to taking medicaid, if your cousin can no longer foot the bill. 5. It is best to make full payment and have extra money for emergencies. 6. The VO PROBABLY wishes to ensure that you don't become a burden to the US taxpayer. 7. Are you working? Do you earn an income? 8. The VO PROBABLY feels there are hospitals in Nigeria that can give you an artificial arm, and believes that entry into the US is a privilege not a right, so you may feel you that the best treatment is in the US, but the VO PROBABLY feels you are not qualified - that would be an hindrance. 9. How about getting the artificial arm in a country apart from the US like Israel, for instance, they have good hospitals there and I am sure it won't be as high as the US. 10. Sorry about the refusal. okechukwu101: |

You are advised not to make any plans until you have gotten your visa. JWTheocracy1: |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 9:18pm On May 09, 2017 |
That's probably the issue - this is your cousin, not your immediate family in the eyes of the VO i.e. father, mother, brother, sister, son or daughter. You get to the US and ur cousin can no longer sponsor you, what then happens, you become a liability to the US government via medicaid. One way to overcome this, is to pay for everything and have extra cash for emergencies and expenses. It might help. Try it. okechukwu101: |

please I'm going for my interview ending of this month and I need to get prepared 101%.... I have few questions to ask concerning my status. I work as a marketing and stock manager in one private company that base in PH but I'm representing the company's warehouse in the East, I have a salary of 155k and I also run a self employed biz which I have 2 sales persons I pay monthly. I'm being invited by a family in the US (though have not met them in real life) please what are my chances with the VO? is what I have as a home tie too weak? because I can't lie about this just to get a visa. Just going as a Tourist. please I need advice from the Gurus. omobendel, KaptainAfrica, Justwise and etcetera please help oo. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 10:58pm On May 09, 2017 |
1. Invited by a family you haven't met before. 2. This family will take care of all your expenses. A family you haven't met before. 3. 21 days in Ohio, and you are the representative of a company in Aba. So for 3 weeks, you will not be at work. 4. You have people that run your company in your absence. 5. So what is tying you back to Nigeria? I like that you don't want to lie to get a visa, but I ask you to sincerely judge yourself. Your chances are 50-50 anyway. All the best. JWTheocracy1: 1 Like |

The key is not what you think is right or wrong, but what the VO is thinking. As a VO I would find it suspicious that a man with no wife and kids in Nigeria is being sponsored to the US by people he has never met before - could this be a case of potential human trafficking? Could this be an attempt to get to the US and stay illegally? I would err on the side of caution and say no. I would then call homeland security and ask them to investigate that family, just to be sure that they are not into human trafficking. But then he might meet a favourable VO. Who knows. It's 50-50. iRyan: |

JWTheocracy1: Scarcely will this fly IMO.... You could give it a try though, all things are possible. Who are you to that family and who are they to you? Is it not someone pulling these strings behind the scene, maybe an illegal or out of status immigrant (just taking a wide guess)? #ThatWesternUnionKini sha. Still worried about your "former" profile (database-wise, not based on that idiotic agent threat oh) on your changed DS160 somehow sha vis-a-vis this current one (abi no be you agent dey try that time so?). |

Make sure whatever you are telling the vo correlates with what you have on your Ds 160 form.e.g. *your sponsor *where you will be staying etc. JWTheocracy1: |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 11:10am On May 10, 2017 |
Okay in that case let the VO know, that you are all JW's. And that everything has been confirmed by your parish/church and it is a intra-denominational visit from one member of the congregation to another. A JW in US inviting a JW in Nigeria for a visit, all expenses paid. JWTheocracy1: |

I think u should only answer questions been asked by the vo as honest and confidently as possible. My elder sister's children(10,8and 5yrs old) just had an interview an hour ago and they got their visas.accompanied by their mum,she and her husband got their visas earlier this January JWTheocracy1: |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by seyewest(m): 11:36am On May 10, 2017 |
JWTheocracy1: First of all my question is this? Are you married? How old are you? Is 155k the only money you earn in a month? Are you on leave? I see no big deal in visiting people you've not met but it's important you're going with a lot of cash in case they grow cold feet about meeting you..Oh I'm already talking like you have the visa already... You need to convince the V.O you're going to come back which is the most important reason for going for the interview in the first place....every other issue is secondary. |
