Chelseafan1:

Abeg comot Pedro jor..

Hazard - Sanchez - Mbappe

Or

Hazard - Fabregas - Mbappe

Mbappe go score goals, e go taya.
Signing mbappe for outrageous fee will be injustice to our youth players, mostly to the ones that are ready to compete and the team as a whole.

Mbappe is not better than Gabriel Jesus and that dude cost maybe 30M.

Mbappe is just on a streak in the cups. Of course theres a lot of potential there, but for someone who's been averaging less than 2 shots a game and just over 1 shot on target a game, I inclined to believe he's just been lucky as that goal output on such nearer underlying numbers is unsustainable long term.

Anything over 30M is too much for that dude

City pays only £30m because Jesus was at Palmeiras. If he was at Monaco, playing on a world stage, £30m will be the money spent to get to the negotiating table.

Mbappe's goal was Monaco's 150th this season in all competitions; only Real Madrid (158) and Barcelona (160) have scored more from the big five European leagues.

Mbappe became the youngest player to score in a Champions League semi-final (18 years & 140 days).

Nna make una take am easy. Mbappe jungle never mature.

Someone who is yet to outscore Michy Batsuayi in a Ligue 1 season. Too much risk in such a transfer for now.

Mahrez on RW, Hazard on LW is a lot for any opposition to contend with.

Which one be world beater again. Has Hazard beaten the world? Riyadh Mahrez 4 goals, 2 assists in 9 UCL games. Please don't let Raumdeuter show up here with Hazard UCL stats to put world beater comments into context.

At the start of this season, nobody except Monaco fans or Career Mode players knew Mbappe. Gaby Jesus was already top striking for Brazil, the most successful national team in the world.

Coming from Palmeiras is irrelevant, it's not as if signing players from Brazil is cheap.

If Gaby Jesus is going for 30M, how can I justify Mbappe for 80? If A whole Alexis Sanchez and A whole Ozil combined went for around that 80M Mark, Who the fück is Mbappe? Who is his daddy? cheesy

£30M for the hottest young prospect in European footy currently. Are you having a laugh?

He's nothing more than a slightly fortuitous French Rashford. If we must sign a black pacy short french forward, I'd rather we sign Lacazette who is a proven striker and costs way way much less.

Lacazette has more goals too.

Mbappe ko, Mmmbop ni grin

Maybe dt Abraham can do better than Mbappe sef, but we would not even give him a chance to show us what he got.

Sometimes I question the rationale behind certain moves.

Why would Billy Gilmour decide to abandon his education at Rangers to join us? Moreso, why do we even need him when it is glaring clear there are bunch of lads at Cobham who are yet to test first team footie?

I wish him well at Vitesse though.

The deal was worth £500k. This is what is reported as the official figure. Chelsea probably paid another £200k cash to Parents and bought them a house in West London. And then there's promise of more money to come when he signs his first pro contract next year. That's all that's required. He joins Chelsea.

Checked him out yesterday when I heard the news. He's not bad.

Is he an upgrade on Pedro?

The Spaniard's rejuvenation would make it difficult for me and most probably any manager to think about signing a new winger now.

Pedro albeit not too young has the needed vigor, spark, brilliance and experience to help us mount a serious UCL challenge next term and play to defend our EPL title.

What that front three needs now is a badass forward that would take over from Costa.

Sanchez to replace Pedro? Maybe I'll then start nodding yes!'

He is not bad, what is bad is that, he won't play.

I feel it's not just right to cut the education of lads short by flashing cash in their face. This was exactly the same case with Islam Feruz. Just 16 and he was not bad.

Where is he today? I am pretty sure that boy doesn't even know what Stamford Bridge looks like. It's been from one loan move to another.

We need to work on our prospects and set up a system that ensures their integration into the first team after few years of education with the academy. Until we get that right, let's simply leave these boys in their parents' homes.

Nihilist you're on point in your opinion on Mbappe. Kid is a good striker no doubt but let's not get too carried away. 80M? That's way too much! Haba!

He is going to Real Madrid anyway. There's no point fantasizing on him playing for Chelsea.

It's just the way of football mehn. It annoys me too but there's a different angle to it as well.

From our side, when we splash that kind of cash on a youth prospect we are hoping his comes good for us, but most importantly we are keeping him out of the hands of our rivals.

Now even if he flops, 500k is an inconsequential sum. I'm sure Roman has lost more than that amount in cash behind his sofa.

From the boy's side, he's hoping he comes good at Chelsea but quite often Chelsea isn't the target bro. The target is just a career in football at any level. Chelsea(and the money) at this stage is likely to be just a bonus when the boy and his parents might know that his true level is Nottingham Forest.

We need to sign an established players during summer while we watch our academies grow and see what they can offer in the future.

This is not actually the way of football, it's the way of super rich football clubs who pay little or no attention to their own academies, it is the way of Chelsea.

Ajax won't bother about 15 year old Gilmour because they have an academy that has and can still produce much better prospects.

Barca's trust in La Masia makes it nearly difficult for you to see them chase a prodigy. Last week they announced the opening of an academy in Chicago, following the previous launch of schools in Austin, Texas, Florida etc. By the start of next season there will be 36 academies spread across five continents, including four in Canada, there are currently 27 in operation.

Spurs are even beginning to mind their business lately. Harry Kane, Tom Carroll, Josh Onomah and Harry Winks have all come up through the ranks while Danny Rose joined the Spurs academy from Leeds in 2006.

So I tell you, snapping up 15 year old Gilmour is the way of Chelsea, and it's an ugly trend.

For all Billy's talent, does he deserve to end up at Nottingham Forest or Vitesse?

We have 38 players out on loan across various divisions, with none of the three academy players who are in the first team a regular. What is the essence?
