ONE. I cant find the original report from the WB website.

TWO. How comes that, according to this report in the WB, the Kenyan national GDP per capita is stated to be 695$, yet in the WB report, 2015 the Kenyan per capita income is estimated at 1700$? Kenya's GDP clocked $69bn year ending 2014 according to the WB report. (The latest report states the GDP at 75$, fyi). With the national population of say 46mn, as of 2015 there is no way that the per capita GDP cld be only 695$, simple rithmetic. 69bn$/46mln= 1500$.

In any case, Kenya is currently ranked as a midle income country.....u know the WB criteria for ranking countries economic statuses.

THREE. Well, if Nairobi contributes just 12% to the national GDP, not 40 or 60% as hitherto claimed by some estimates, then (69bn$*12/100)= $8.2bn total Nairobi GDP.
Nairobi population is 3.5mn. Now $8,2bn/3.5mn should be equal to around $2400. How did sumbody arrive at that $1065 Nairobi GDP PC figure in the BD report?

Sumbody must have had meth for breakfast before compiling this report.

you do know that GDP is not the same as GDP per capita. Alot of international organizations like IMF are responsible for those figures, so they are not just made up. Yes, Nigeria's GDP figures are that high. Also, port Harcourt is literally located in the midst of oil producing area as well as serving as a hq for oil companies. Nigeria's Nollywood is a 5 billion dollar industry. Nigeria thrive off of commerce due to its high population.
During Sani Abacha's rule alone, billions of dollars was stolen by one man alone. Nigeria's negotiating with banks around the world to recover the stolen loot. Nigeria's incredibly rich, corruption,bad governance and inequality is why it looks the way it is.
