hello, am building an EA but one thing i just can't do is to make the robot understand when a retracement is/will occur. Maybe someone here can be of help. I need conditions like

"if the closing price of the previous bar is greater than the closing price of the current bar or if the highest price of the last two bars is less than the opening price of the last bar"

something like this will make it easier to understand and code.

the time frame am looking at is from the 15M to 4H....

You may add the momentum indicator to your EA. It determines if the price is losing its momentum and starting to retrace.

that is more of a price grind(indicating strength of the trend) than a reversal. try using a standard deviation of 2.5 you'll get a real reversal from the bollinger bands. my thoughts though.
