That is why I say that the best we can get under this arrangement is superficial improvement. No real change is possible without restructuring. Someone even volunteered that if residents were to return to their states of origin it will help but is this not what we talk about, a devolution of powers from the centre so that other parts are allowed to develop. Let the states control their economies and let's see what remains attractive in Lagos to cause the sub-human levels of living. But will they, no. They prefer the status quo and are suffering and dying in it. Nigerians are so dull.

Apc due to their meeting yesterday used police to block roads yesterday causing traffic everywhere. People just woke up to find road blocks on their normal routes without any prior notice, is that a civilised act?

Why misquoting him. It even in the front of Punch Newspaper that Lagos APC Meeting causes gridlock. Do you know they blocked Acme road. Governor Ambode is working no doubt about that but APC should organize themselves well without blocking road on their next meeting.

Exactly. If as a government you force people into a space, you must work the space or be prepared to hear noise. The Federal Government saw how horrible Lagos was getting and set sail for new lands in the late eighties. They known this country has developmental challenges but they pretend all is well. The Lagos government boasts of unmatched internal revenues. They should show what they are doing with it. The political angle is that it has been a one party state since 1999 so there is no excuse of instability.
