Icon4s: Sir can you please name any of these Anglo Nigerians or foreign lads that we have begged to play for us and keep begging to play for us in time past and present... the truth is we approach them and not beg them...giving them convincing reasons because them too are concerned about their career security amongst other things to be honest sir...not until enabling structures are enacted to harness the homegrown talents at out disposal... the labour in vain who dreams and aim to build a formidable super eagles team wit home groomed players... the best players are europe...there you have players that have been nurtured in proper academics exposed to the dynamics, techniques, nutritional expectations of the round leather game... a sane society will harness both home groom players and the foreign legion and not disposed one off all in a bid to get the juice out of one... moreover Nigerians are the most patriotic folks I have ever seen....excluding our leaders please every one that has a Nigeria blood in his veins shows an allegiance to this country... I watched Anthony Joshua interview.. he still feel Nigeria... Alaba too. after the UCL triumph.. he shows he still love Nigeria... and many others so approaching these lads won't be bad idea...Otigba have turned down his mother's nation for Nigeria severally but he still being ignored even during the time of keshi..where he would have break into the SE easily... so what's the wisdom in them following otigba foot steps? 2 Likes |

tbaba1234: Which players have you seen shine in the lower leagues and unable to cut it in the EPL or even outright flopped There are quite a few players if they dropped from the EPL would be complete waste men and be totally anonymous. So it can work both ways. Again I am a bit surprised, I truly appreciate your contributions. But too presumptuously say Onyekuru and Samuel are ahead of him is not the normal analytical you. Particularly as you admit you have not seen him play or made any assessment on his attributes. Finally watch this space I expect to see Onyedinma in the premiership next season. |

Joebie: I have seen him play a few times, he hasn't been overly impressive. He was brought in under the watch of the deals man Derek Langley, thank the heaven he has left now. He really needs to break in to the first team, before we can call him a top prospect. Man U is not like Chelsea where there are a lot of top international players ahead of him. So that's why little has been said about him. 1 Like |

safarigirl: That's not specific to me, and I guess to others as well. I really do not know what date and time that was. So I cannot make a comparison with the last time I saw Efe myself. But I have never ever seen him being overly overweight particularly like Ronaldo De Lima. |

Icon4s: How do you know that What are they doing I probably have in my network about 100 Nigerian origin players and that's not what they are saying too me. This is Nigeria do you know the amount of scheming and manipulation that goes on behind the scene. We invited a non league defender and a 18 yr old striker who has not really smelled the first team of average poor performing Sunderland. An 18 year old who is far from the top 20 Nigerian origin youth players in the UK. Yet Aluko, Onyedinma, Ojo, Onomah, Tony Aghayere, (goalkeeper Burnley fc U23) Ovie, Akpan, too be honest there are too many to mention, etc, etc were not even invited for a chit chat. Firstly Rohr cannot do everything by himself he will steel need to rely on advisers from the NFF. That's when all the Maradona moves will start too take place. Where Nigeria is concerned we know we can not make assumptions about credibility and Fair-Play, let's be real. |

komekn:you can always Google it if you need a specific date and time. Me, I cannot be searching internet for you. He was overweight for a footballer then, and I wasn't the only one who observed it that time. My sister even asked me when she saw the picture, "why is Efe Ambrose fat?" He was sticking out like a fat kid on a playground You weren't on this thread back then sha. Cuz I saw the pic on one of the SE threads |

Icon4s: If you were born in KFC doesn't make you a Zinger Meal. They are Nigerians irrespective of where they were born and development in this context is somewhat ambiguous. It's the month of May hundred of players will be released from clubs as being not good enough, surplus too requirements, not the right agent, etc, etc. A few years ago Ovie Ejaria was released by Arsenal for nothing, Ovie is playing in the premiership and his former mates are in U23 and or released. If we had got him then England will not say nuttin. Football clubs are private entities not public or government owned. So the idea that they are owned and owe everything to England is rubbish. I have met hundred of African origin players and the majority owe allegiance firstly to the Fatherland. The larger majority all ask me Uncle please I want to play for Naija. Because I hire land to plant yam when I harvest the matured tuber the Landlord go claim my yam, na so, say whaaaaten happen na, who dye. Icon4s leave this matter whaaaaten deh do you. These are free born undiluted Naija boys being developed for Nigeria. Where that development takes place is irrelevant, let the best player enter, quarell no deh, haba. 1 Like |

Humility017: 100% correct this is at the heart of the problem and indeed one of the very sad major failings of our indigenous coaches. I will highlight the case of Aluko why do you think he was frozen out after outstanding performances. And why on earth has he not been invited now |

Icon4s: It's apparent you are not familiar with the situation and social cultural environment that our players have to contend with. Consider Dele Alli came to Nigeria at about 10 years old with his Dad. His mother was an alcoholic his Father left him and his mother. Dele Alli was taken into social care and placed with foster parents. Meanwhile his Father had remarried gone to USA and effectively abandoned him. What do you expect him to think of his father and Nigeria. Now I know Ovie, Ojo, Akpan, Onomah, Anichebe and after others keep the Nigerian flag flying at home. Bit not all children have that privilege. Honestly a lot of Nigerian fathers are failing thier children for whatever reason. Jordan Ibe was brought up by a wonderful Jamaican step Dad his Ibo father know where to be seen. This means that Nigerian collectively, individually and the NFF partnering with High commission has to engage these Children and introduce Nigeria to them. This year I connected a 29 year old Nigerian mixed race lady to her Onitsha based father that she has never seen in her life. Amongst other things I made two trips in the last 8 months about this to Nigeria. This highlights the issues to some degree that Nigerian origin players can face. There are other things I do to connect footballers to Nigeria. To show Nigeria in a positive light is part of my personal responsibility by deed, actions and thought. Finally unfortunately we have Nigerian who were born on bred in Nigeria and have nothing good to say about Nigeria. This does not help matters. 2 Likes |

Humility017: I know Barkley and I know his mixed race Dad. His Father is more or less an alcoholic had a Nigerian sailor Father that never really imputed much into him. His understanding of Nigeria is wishy washy and his son Barkley been brought up predominantly by a white mother can't teach him much either. So you see the problem is really about the failings of sadly Nigerian father's to thier children not the children. We need to have some empathy and sensitivity in engaging these boys and linking them to thier Fathers land. We have 5th generation Jews in England who show allegiance first to Isreal and even do national service in the armed forces. With the potential to loose thier lives. Consider how Isreal engages it's hugely influential diaspora population, something to think about. |

Danycrusoe: The LMC should put the games on NTA at least until they can secure a deal. This will also boost their brand in the process and give them a chance to show people why they should invest. The league and players will lose credibilty as long as they stay off TV. Odey was the talk of the internet simply because all 14 of his goals are on tape. |

Guardiola jokes: Iheanacho will get more game time with new manager Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has joked Kelechi Iheanacho will need a new coach if he wanted more game time at the club, according to media reports. The Manchester Evening News reported Guardiola made this joke earlier this season. The report further stated the City boss does not rate the Nigeria striker and it would be best if he quit The Ittihad permanently and not go out on loan next season. “Even without factoring in new additions that the transfer market can provide, it is hard to see how a year at another club could do any more to convince Guardiola than what he has shown in training for the last year,” reported the Manchester Evening News. “Better for the player to take his talent elsewhere to a team that does suit his playing style. “A clinical finisher, Iheanacho should not have a problem finding that – German high-flyers Hoffenheim are one of the clubs said to be interested that could offer him Champions League football next season. “For City’s part, they should make a handsome profit on a player who appeared on their 2014 tour and bolster their funds for what is expected to be another busy and expensive transfer window. “It will be a shame if Iheanacho does leave, but it is surely best for all parties.” http://scorenigeria.com.ng/2017/05/11/guardiola-jokes-iheanacho-will-get-more-game-time-with-new-manager/ |

komekn: thank you.. I think snubbing of aluko started during the reign of oliseh through his policy of only calling players playing in top leagues and not in lower divisions he deliberately omitted the young man and hope akpan with this policy. aluko was fast getting recognition in Nigeria albeit the introduction of these foolish policy by oliseh... and presently... he is being omitted because rohr has not noticed him...coupled with the fact the German is not a fan of the English football.. his invitation I believe rest on the shoulders of other backroom SE staffs...should they make mention of him to rohr I believe he won't turn it down... I believe any player who wanna get into the SE now....should prove better than the current paraded players or offer something currently lacking in the team... especially in attack and midfield rolesa |

Nigeria At World Cup Released By Schalke Published: May 11, 2017 Through official sources, German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 have announced that they will end their collaboration with Germany international Dennis Aogo at the end of this season. Aogo has been released by The Royal Blues along with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Phili Neumann, Timon Wellenreuther, Holger Badstuber and Sascha Riether. The management of Schalke 04 made the announcement at a press conference on Thursday, ahead of this weekend's clash against Aogo's former team Hamburger SV. Now 30, Aogo revealed that he was approached by the Nigeria Football Federation to represent the Super Eagles in the months leading up to the 2010 World Cup but he rejected their advances. Aogo explained : ''When I heard Nigeria wanted me for the World Cup, I had to really think about it. I hesitated because Nigerians won't recognize me as a true African, it's a totally different culture from what I am used to in Germany. ''I know many Africans who were born in Europe are now playing for African teams but they are not regarded as locals.'' The left wing-back lists FV Grünwinkel, Bulacher SC, Karlsruher SC, Waldhof Mannheim and SC Freiburg among his former clubs. Igho Kingsley Photo Credit : schalke04.

You make a lot of sense. To me, the home based players should prove their worth in the CHAN Super Eagles first before getting an invite. The only issue I have with the list Rohr released was the omissions of Henry Onyekuru and Emmanuel Daniels. I would've loved to see those two get a look in now, because we might need them for the future. O pari ProfOrlando: |
