Humility017: How are they not regarded as locals? Reuben Agboola, Osaze Odemwingie, Leon Balogun, Ikeme etc. Who can say they are not regarded as locals. As long as you perform, you will be highly regarded. I understand the fear of not getting accepted though but once you show your worth, you will be accepted. |

It's a misconception on his part. But you can't blame him. Which is why we can't criticize their choice to go the other way. Understanding Nigeria's culture is another thing. However, unfortunately, there are indeed some Nigerians who will not view them as locals. This is why we need the right minds in the NFF. Those who understand good approaching skills and know how to bridge the gap that some of these abroad-born players may feel exist. Honestly speaking, many of them will turn out for Nigeria if they feel they will be warmly accepted as family. Humility017: |

safarigirl: I really think should Nigeria get to qualify for the next world cup...Leon success with SE will mark a swift revolution in the minds of these foreign lads living in Germany Germany...I believe ekong success is helping us already with the likes of ebuehi...ehizibue who once opted for Netherlands now want to be part of super eagles... 1 Like |

Joebie: God bless you bro the truth one of the reasons rohr is currently having his heyday inviting these foreign lads is because amaju pinnick is favorable disposed to them... the sport administrator (pinnick) has never hide his love for foreign groom and young lads for the SE setup at all... still remember upon his emergence as NFF president after the AFCON in equatorial Guinea he began to voice calls for young lads and European groom players....and make trip to see these kids parents...I still believe his sojourn played a role in getting iwobi for eagles.... amaju pinnick has really help in these regard I tell had the NFF had leaders not favorably disposed to rohr's policy it would have been difficult.. |

Yes I agree with you. Pinnick has his high points in this regard. Meanwhile, Shehu Dikko can do more domestically. He is more than capable. Humility017: |

Joebie: on shehu Dikko...the man is trying to be true the truth is....the problem of the local league...is much bigger than what many of us think here... how will you explain a situation where the best in the league...every season rather than stay to consolidate on their achievement whisk to far away eastern Europe... others to Malaysia and Vietnam the best every season leaves...this alone has affected the league badly... my hope of harnessing of talents from the home ground have always been the cadet teams like the under 17 and 20 that's why I am not too happy this time being that we're not playing in the under 17 and 20 world cup this year. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 6:51pm On May 11, 2017 |
More corporate involvement in the league will reduce the trend. But how to make the league more attractive -- that's Dikko's headache Humility017: |

I clearly told a light girl I prefer darker girls and she was amazed. Way to go. That colonialist brainwashed mindset irritates me. How can lighter be better? Black indeed is very beautiful and they know it. The darker the far much better. safarigirl: |

then u did not read my post well oh.. That's some black people's inferiority complex brought about by colonial brainwashing. The whites used the media to promote white supremacy using anything lighter on on music videos etc. Glad some black artists lately in the US got smarter and started promoting darker skinned ladies. Sincerely speaking, i've always fell in love with darker girls.. So glad I never fell to what's prevalent in African society (so sad). Girls that bleach.. eeeewwwwww. Whoever brought the idea of bleaching cream? Whites tell you you are less beautiful darker, but them dey hide dey tan wishing they are like you... Typical blacks, they always need white's validation first. MODIFIED my friend madaboi One thing I think we need in Africa firstly is decolonization of our mindset. On Noah Bazee: ” Noah was in Munich last week, the test came out positive and he trained well with the team. The option to play him against Stuttgart, possibly as a substitute still remains open”, Coach Andre Breitenreiter said. ” Let’s see how he copes with the fitness test, the goal is for him to come through on Thursday as the game is on Sunday. But his speed can be used as a surprise on Sunday”, the coach concluded. 1 Like |

Humility017: I can assure you it was not snubbing but shameless demands for settlement to secure his place by a no longer there assistant coach. But I tell you our Nigeria coaches no get shame. I witnessed several even asking in addition to the hosting at 5 star hotel at players expense, warm body matter. |

Kakamorufu: Please don't put George name for that group at all. George is a confirmed and undiluted PH boy. He played for Sharks before leaving Nigeria to play for lowly Macclesfield. Unfortunately he didn't have a good agent. |

Joebie:the lighter the better applies mostly to females, not men. With men, darker men are more attractive than lighter men. This is because while people see light and equate it to feminity, people equate dark skin to masculinity. The colour thing works both ways, so, who do we blame for the portrayal of the black man as the most masculine of all races? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 8:29pm On May 11, 2017 |
I never heard such before.. Read and enlighten yourself with different perspectives. Enjoy this read: https://www.quora.com/Why-do-some-white-people-like-to-tan-so-much let me add the black man as more masculine stems more on physical ability not color. Hence, slavery. Generally species of animals, insects etc from Africa always showed more strength compared to their counterparts from other continents. safarigirl: 1 Like |
