You guys keep saying " from what the mother must have told her" is she not a human being too, does she not have memories of her own, or you think she was too little to know what was going on around her to form an opinion for herself. It takes more than impregnating and even marrying a wife to be a father. I know children that at some point in their lives wished their father death and others that don't even care if they exist, seen ladies that insisted their bride price must not be paid to a father that was totally absent from their lives. In this age what you sow is what you reap, that old tradition of respecting your parents no matter what is fading away for good, if you want to enjoy your fruits then be ready to labor. My 2 cents.

Can we also say our elders and forefathers who lived till old age with their wives and are in the habit of giving young people relationship and family advice never had good relationship? They're not the first family to be seperated , and some even have more bitter separations. However, the children still love and acknowledge their father.

Even though she's young, she's old enough to sieve and process what's going on around her.
Only God knows how many birthdays she waited as a child to receive a call from her father wishing her a happy birthday, but non ever came.
How many times she was sent out of school or called out in front of the assembly because of unpaid or partially paid school fees, till her mother was finally able to raise the money,
Children notice all these things. She obviously has zero respect for him as a father.
